Beware of Gravity Payments. They Employ Deceptive Practices And Are Sharks

I am an independent sales representative for national processing company. I began getting calls for my open merchants, asking me if I left a message telling them to call an 800 number to upgrade their terminals because this is the season to upgrade to EMV compliant terminals. After looking at it, it is a scam to get their business, when they already were With National Processing Company. There were a surprising number of my merchants that called me to ask if that message from me. These people canvassed everywhere. As Paul KIRIAKOS and his assistant, David, that were behind the plot. A little while later, I received a phone call from Pau lKIRAKOS. He stated that he would like to meet with me. He had heard that I give superior customer service. He wished to work with me and not be a competitor. My wife advised me not to meet. But I did. He said that all the merchants he approached spoke very highly of my services and he would like me to consider joining Gravity Payments. We spoke to PaulKIRIAKOS and his sidekick David. Spent a lot of heavy energy on me, wanting me to join Gravity Payments. I told them that I was very happy working with National Processing Company, with whom I was with for 18 years, being very satisfied with the honesty, integrity superior service. I left them thinking, the wrongly that they would keep their word and not be competitive with me. Even right after our meeting they canvassed my merchants that had been with me a long time. Soon, my other merchants would contact me, saying that they are high-pressure salesman, merchant more precisely sharks that were doing everything they could to undermine my accounts. They immediately fanned out on my accounts flies on stink. One of my long-term merchants even through them out of the store. The use the pitch they gave to me using my reputation against me, indicating that I was the good customer service person, using that quality against me to grab my existing merchants. I can only say from the way they treated me, they will be deceptive after boarding merchants. Stay away from them. They are orally oily and deceptive many merchants have described them as such. Be careful of them

Hi Jeff,

I'd first just like to say that their goal and Gravity's goal is to create long-term relationships built on trust with independent business owners. We will do anything to help them, but always strive to be respectful competitors.

I'd also like to address the miscommunication there may have been about Paul and David declining to enter into a non-compete agreement with you. To ensure we give small business owners the best pricing and service possible, we believe healthy competition is necessary and motivates companies to do and be better for their clients.

I say this because all of us at Gravity are committed to helping independent businesses succeed. We want to have a reputation where clients are really happy with us, recognize our service, integrity, and transparency, and trust us to help reduce the costs and headaches of accepting payments. Those goals have driven our company since day one and declining a small business owner looking for different options would go against our values.

Again, I appreciate your perspective and am open to any specific ideas you have for how we could improve, be more transparent, or make our communication clearer. I'd be happy to hop on a call with you and discuss this further.

We'd like to come to a healthy resolution because we still want to maintain great relationships with our competitors. I hope we can find a way to move forward and continue our efforts in making credit card processing fair for independent businesses, just as you are working hard to serve your clients.

Thanks,

Matt
