I meet w/ Andrea Hartman at Great Expections in Overland Park, KS. in

March '09. Upon arriving I was not really sure what to expect. I was giving a

very well thought out sales pitch that I believed. Unfortunately, I fell into

their trap. I was told that there were thousands of members and that I have a great chance of meeting someone. I signed the $2,795 contract. After going home and thinking about it I called and left a message for Andrea. After a couple of days she returned my call and being in the fragile emotional and confused state I was in I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I had an appointment to come back in to get my picture taken. I was told by Andrea that the pictures were from a professional photographer which is not true. My pictures were taken and digitally uploaded to the computer, definitely not professional pictures. Once my picture was taken then my membership started. I was able to log in to the website and see other members. My first log in I was very dissappointed. Most members were inactive and/or live in another state. I was misled on the number of members that were available. After two weeks and realizing I paid $2,795 that I can not afford anyway I called Andrea to cancel. We set up a meeting to talk I told her that I could not afford the service and would like to cancel. She cancelled my monthly membership dues but since I had used the membership I can not get a refund of my $2,795. After pleaing with her she said she will talk to the mananger and she what she can do. I called her a couple of weeks later to check the status she told me I could not get a refund because I have used the membership. I again told her I could not afford the service and that I don\'t feel that I have "used" the membership and would like a refund. She told me she would again talk to the manager and get back with me. A week later she emailed me that there will not be a refund. I feel that I have not "used" the membership a nd was misled regarding potential male members. Andrea also told me that the cost I paid $2,795 has been used on my pictures and membership. I know this is not true. I was in a fragile emotional and confused state when I signed this contract. I still can't believe I signed the contract!

I would like at least a portion of my $2,795. I would be happy to pay for my "professional" pictures.
