My wife and I bought a 2003 ford ranger from great western here in casper wyoming and the problem is that the pickup was priced a just under $17000. We

We ended up in the salesmans office and was going over the financing and the amount of the loan etc. Etc, after all of this was done the paperwork was taken to a different office in which my wife and ended up to sign all the papers.

We took the pickup home and we paid on the pickup and we started to wonder what was going on because we paid on the thing for almost five years and then times started getting a little ruff and we started getting calls about late payments.

I finallyh got them on the phone and just asked them how much we had paid and it was over the number mentioned above so then I had to ask how much we still owed because surely it had to be almost paid off. They said we still had a balance of 18000 and I called bs but they were serious, I tried to explain to them what the sticker price said and they said too bad and that we had actually been financed for 25000 dollars.

I then told them that was preposterous and rediculous and that I wasn't paying another penny until this was resolved so they reposessed the FORD RANGER pickup and the problem I'm having now is that my car quit and I more than qualify for financing on a new vehicle and I really need one but the repo on my record makes it so I can't get another vehicle.

Cititfinacial was the bank, is there anything I can do?

What did the paperwork say which you signed?  Did you read what you were signing BEFORE you signed it?  What exactly did you sign for?  What is your interest rate?  If you signed a contract which contains figures different from what you verbally agreed to then there's nobody to blame but you.  A contract is a legally binding agreement which holds you to the exact terms and conditions stated in the contract.  Its time for you to get out the contract you signed and read what you agreed to pay!
