Having enjoyed 22 episodes of "Murder She Wrote" I came across the full Seasons from GreatHomeDVD.com at a good reduction and I ordered them. An e-mail was received from a different company TVDVDMania.com Ordered early March, they took over a month to come.

They were very badly packaged for startersand I had my doubts right there and then. I was surprised to see they had come from China Intercontinental Communication Center, Beijing. I didn't feel good about this at all. I felt they may be illegal when I saw how the discs looked.

When I put the firstDVD in my player, it started off okay but after tenminutes it stuttered and breaking into pixels and I couldn't watch it at all. I tried the second one and it was the same performance. The discs did not have the name of the episodes. They were just numbered from 1 - 49 in three plastic cases with a "Murder She Wrote" cover.

I reported this to SupportTVDVDMania.com and I mentioned that I thought they were illegal and I may report them to the proper authorities. I haven't heard anything back from them. I did ask them for an American address to return these DVD's.

TV Shows are sold in Wal-Mart- Safer to buy from them!

I would just like to add instead of ordering through the net, one can buy many DVD shows from Wal-Mart. It does save the worry of wondering whether your DVD's are pirated, because it seems to be a very common occurrence these days.  It's Wal-Mart for me from now on!

I still have not heard anything from GreatHomeDVD.com, TVDVDMania.com or China Intercontinal Communications. Not even an apology from any of them. My total bill for "The Complete TV Series" came to USD $70.74. A week ago, I came across a portable DVD player I hadn't used for over a year. I thought before I throw these DVD's away I might as well try it. Both the TV and my computer played the DVD for approximately 20 mins before distortion set in. I was amazed when it played continuously to the end. Some of the usual functions didn't work like pressing the menu button, but the pause, stop and start button worked, and I saw it right to the end. I can now see "Murder She Wrote" episodes on this small 5" x 7" screen, so all is not lost. This is better than nothing. I have learned a very wise lesson here - never to order anything from an unknown Company. Better to stick to Amazon. I sincerely hope this report prevents other people from ordering from these fraudulent companies.

We have decided to allow this to be reported on the net, but we don't need any personal contact with the media. We are both Seniors 80 and 83 and we are just not up to all this would entail. However, it would be good to publish this report as a warning for others not to order from GreatHomeDVD.com and then receive an e-mail from a different company such as TVDVDMania.com and then receive them from China Intercontinental Communication Center, Beijing. What way is this to conduct a business? It has to be a Scam. Ella and Jim C
