It started when I got a quote from Green Wheels. The quote was for $400 to move one way to their storage unit. When I asked customer service how much it would be to move from storage to the new place they said LESS because it wouldn't be as much work.

When I received the quote back both prices ($800 total) were the same and no one could give me an explanation as to why. They said wrapping possessions for the move was no cost but packing was and an addional quote was sent to wrap all my belonging for $800, of which I declined.

The movers were late getting to the pick up location to move things into storage. Everything was packed EXCEPT 3...only 3 pictures (no more than 16"x24".) I gave them permission to pack those, of which I was made aware that there would be a MINIMAL charge of which they couldn't tell me until they were finished (they stressed minimal.)

They packed those pictures, then proceeded to RETAPE every box that was already taped. They wrapped all furniture & electronics (which they said was no charge.) The final bill was $697.00.

They lied to their supervisor saying my 1 bedroom apartment filled nearly HALF of the truck. I took pictures showing it filled merely 1/8th of the cabin- I was shocked. After they left they charged me $565 as I complained ($485 charged to my card as I already paid $80 as a deposit.)

Customer service said they would do something with my bill from the move from storage to the new place to fall within the original $800 as I did not authorized them to pack anything OTHER than the three pictures. They did not call back except...

...to tell me that my charge was declined and that they needed another form of payment. It was to my dismay and my bank's, because it was very clear that $80 & $485 was deducted from my account. They explained that my posessions would be held until there was payment.

I emailed them a copy of my bankstatement (which I didn't feel I had to do- why couldn't they check their own account) to prevent my possessions from being held. I have not heard anything back.
