Greentree Capital Group ripoff Boston Massachusetts
I applied for a loan through Green Tree Capital, a few days later on(9/26/2006)Allen Greenberg called me and said I was aproved for a $6,000 dollor loan but I would need to put $1093.98 down to secure the loan. I sent the money through MoneyGram on (9/29/2006) to Laura Trueman in Gibbons,Alberta-Canada, as instructed by Allen Greenberg.
Than on (10/1/2006) I recieved a call from Harold D.Hall, the CEO of Green Tree Capital, stating that the loan lender needed an additional $1093.98 security deposit because of my negative credit, I sent that amount to them on (10/2/2006) again MoneyGram to Laura Trueman in Canada. I also requested a fax stating no more money would be needed I that I will be geting the loan with in 24hrs. As I requested that fax was sent to me on (10/2/6002)signed by Harold D.Hall CEO of Green Tree Capital On (10/3/2006) Harold D.Hall CEO called me again and said the loan lender backed out, and they can't refund my money to me until (10/18/2006)and stated that the contract indicated that refunds were accomplished within two weeks of being requested. It should be noted that this information is not to be found in the contract.
As of today (10/21/2006) I still haven't recieved any funds that were to be retuned.I've also tried calling them on a daily basis with no luck of talking to anyone or any return phone calls to me. The answering device no longer identifies Green Tree, I'm now well in debt with my bank account and to family that has had to help me financially for the money I have lost. The funds sent to Green Tree in good faith have created severe finacial difficulty for me and my family.
