Greentree - Conseco ripoff has constantly harrassed me on the phone,even cursing and screaming at me,they also let me catch up my payments at one time and had already filed foreclosure papers on me Rapid City South Dakota
I have a mobile home financed through Green Tree LLC.I have been paying on it for over 6 years.Several times I have gotten behind on my payments do to becoming disabled and not recieving child support on time.When I have gotten behind They have called as much as 12 times a day,as early as 8:00AM and as late as 12:00PM.They ask me the same questions over and over.When I would tell them when I think I can pay them they called me a liar.They have told me what to eat,Men have screamed at me on phone and one man told me I was a stupid a** lady last week.This was after he said I told someone else I would not have the money this month.What I told him is that I would have it by the end of month.Less than a year ago I wired them over 700.00.
I called shortly after this and told them I had another payment which would catch up my payments.They told me to send it.I did and was served with foreclosure papers that day.The officer who served me said they were doing the same thing to 6 other people in the county I live in.They are trying to foreclose on me now.I did not know that I was going to become disabled when I bought my home.At one time a woman said they would work with me to lower my payments ,but the next person I talked to denied this. I would like to this kind harassment to stop for other people besides myself.If I get served papers I should have 15 to move.Also in over 6 years my balance has only gone down about 1000 dollars.I have receipts and the papers from when they tried to foreclose on me after I payed them.If there is any way this I really need to know how.Also they called one day and said the sheriffs department was in my yard.I called the sheriffs deparment and thy did not have any papers out on me.The harassment has been horrible.I also have witnesses to what they have done.

I was told that unless I caught my payments up by April that they were going to take me to court for payment defaults. I managed to get up the money and sent it Western Union. As soon as I sent the money I called Greentree with the control number. They said they would forward it to the legal department, who would drop the lawsuit and I would never have to hear about it again. I even called the next morning and verified. Again, I was told the same thing, that the lawsuit would go away and I'd never have to hear about it again. I continued to make my monthly payments on time each month after, but kept receiving bogus statements saying that I was still behind. When I called Greentree to see what was up I was told that all of my payment had been going towards legal fees I didn't even know I had! They had charged up to 4,000 in legal fees to my account and never once informed me. I'm still paying these fees and the payments on my house that were once 242.00 dollars are now over 500 a month.
