THE BAG TOOK A DETOUR TO LAS VEGAS WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN CLAREMONT, CA WITH ME. LAS VEGAS GREYHOUND FOUND IT: 702-384-9568, OR 9561 (GENTLEMANS' NAME IS GERALDO) I am so upset today, Monday, September 3, 2007. Las Vegas sent my bag I presume on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 after calling me to say that they had located it and were sending it to GREYHOUND-Birmingham, AL. I do not know when it arrived in Birmingham, AL. I called all day Saturday and spoke with a Kevin, he kept telling me that it had not arrived. I tried calling from 5:00 p.m. Saturday 205-252-7190 and 205-322-0321 until Sunday at approximately 1:00 p.m. NO phone answered. I drove to Birmingham, AL when I went into the terminal and asked Mr. Ross if my bag had arrived, he said lets go take a look. My bag (the missing brown floral one) was there. I found my belongings in the baggage room LOCK AND ZIPPER HINGE CUT OFF: FIRST, THE BAG WAS CLEARLY LABELED WITH MY NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER ON IT; EVERYTHING WAS FOLDED NEATLY WHEN I PACKED MY BAG; 2 LOCKS WERE ON THE ZIPPERS AND IT WAS LOCKED; WHEN I PICKED IT UP FROM BIRMINGHAM GREYHOUND STATION; EVERYTHING WAS OUT OF THE PLASTIC BAG I HAD AROUND EVERYTHING; THEY TORE THE BAG OPEN AND HERE IS WHAT I FOUND: SOMEONE HAD CUT THE ZIPPER AND ONE OF THE MASTER LOCKS OFF; SOMEONE HAD REARRANGED ITEMS IN THE BAG; SOMEONE HAD TRIED ON ALL OF MY CLOTHING AND SHOES (7 PAIRS OF BRAND NEW SHOES); MISSING: THREE CHECKBOOKS MISSING FROM THE BAG; 2 REGIONS BANK CHECKBOOKS; 1 BANK OF AMERICA CHECKBOOK; (3) CARTONS OF CIGARETTES (1 KOOL FILTER KING 100'S) AND (2) CARTONS WINSTON 100 FLIPTOP BOXES; BRIGHTON PURSE MISSING ($WORTH IS $250); BRIGHTON EYEGLASS CASE W/PRESCRIPTION GLASSES ($500WORTH) EMPTY; I CAN'T REPLACE THESE THINGS TODAY AT THE PRICE I PAID FOR THEM LAST YEAR. I CAN'T PUT A MONEY VALUE ON THE WAY I FEEL AT THIS MOMENT. I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN VICTIMIZED. THIS TRIP COST ME A LOSS OF APPROXIMATELY $1600. ALL I WANTED WAS MY PERSONAL BELONGING RETURNED TO ME JUST LIKE I PACKED THEM IN THAT LUGGAGE AND WHAT I PUT IN THE LUGGAGE. WHAT MADE ME ANGRY WAS THE WAY THE AGENT TALKED TO ME: HE DID NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT, HE HAD NO ANSWER FOR ME ON WHY. HE DEMEANINGLY SAID TO ME "SEE THAT OFFICE OVER THERE, POINTING TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICE, TELL THEM HE SAID"!
