Grundy Worldwide Collector Car Insurance charged $50.00 service fee for an annual policy that was in effect for only 7 calender days Horsham Pennsylvania
I had my collector car insured with State Farm when a co-worker of mine recommended Grundy. I contacted Grundy and they agreed to insure my car at a fantastic rate. I sent full payment and received a policy and card. I then cancelled the State Farm policy. I had the car insured with them only 2 days when I was made an offer I could not refuse to sell the car. I waited 4 more days till I got full payment for the car to cancel the Grundy insurance. I had to fax them a written signed letter to cancel. Since I only had the policy in effect I thought I would receive nearly all of my payment. It took a month to recieve my refund and it was $50.00 short. There was no explanation of this charge and the had my cancellation date on the check in Aug. (two months from now). I have repeatedly sent a fax to Grundy for an explanation of this charge with absolutely NO response. I have sent e-mails to the person that set up my account as well with NO response. The only response I got was by telephone saying it is an underwriters fee and that there was NOTHING they could do. Be aware of this $50.00 charge before you use them because no one will tell you of this charge and it is not written anywhere on the actual policy. Also be aware that Grundy seriously lacks customer service skills and ignore their customers. Imagine if you ever had to file a claim.
