Guardian Financial Benefits ripoff unfulfilled credit card offer including cell phone in a package to be fed ex'ed - at my personal cost of 250 $ Champlain New York
After a session online investigating credit card options, and filling out a survey, I received a telemarketing call offering me a master card with a 2000 dollar credit limit. The deal also came with a cell phone which I intended to cancel once it was no longer free. Card and phone were to be received in a package delivered to my house by fed -ex. I was getting ready to make a trip overseas and it seemed like it would be useful. The telemarketer made it seem as if my card would arrive before I left.
Initially, the order did not go through and when I called back, the woman I spoke with told me that the package would not arrive until the end of June. At the end of June I called to investigate and was told that I had gotten lost in their system but that the matter had been corrected and I would receive my fed-ex package in two weeks.
At the end of two weeks, I called and a man told me that there had been a problem - it HAD been corrected but that unfortunately it would still be two to three weeks before I received the card because they have a specific quota of orders to fill before the product is allowed to be shipped. I am still waiting.

I am truly sorry for the pain I have caused many of you. Documents here prove this company is purposely ripping you off.

You are not alone. We sell this rip-off to more than 1,500 people a day. Our call center is just one of hundreds located here in Toronto. This place is a money machine.
I along with many others that work at this phone center in Canada are sorry for the paid we have caused you. Here is the lies we are told to tell you.
I hope to quit soon. This is a job. I have no choice and just realized, this whole operation is a scam. I am frightened. The Royal Canadian Police, they could care less. Phone Busters, a joke. I am sending this to you so maybe you can show your bank this document we are forced to read from. I know that this website Rip-off Report has helped others here in Canada with another company I worked at. The company had no choice but to refund everyone their money and was later closed by the FTC. I think the FTC kept all the money and gave the American people nothing. That was over 2 years ago. Good luck to you and thank you Rip-off Report.
Many at this company laugh about ripping off Americans, saying the Americans deserve it for doing what they are doing in the Middle East.
