i also almost got scammed by someone calling themselves max rodney who claimed they needed a home for their 12 week old boxer puppy because his wife was seriously ill in hospital. i sent an email to the person and recieved a reply almost straight away asking for my name and address as the puppy would need to be shipped to me from aberdeen scotland. i agreed to pay the 100 pound transport fee but became more and more suspicious as there were no questions asked about the size of my home and garden or anything relevant to the adoption process of an animal. after this i recieved an invoice that looked really dodgy so i checked online and found this site i have kept the emails and invoices sent from this person but have not put them on here as i am not aware that i am allowed to or not.

THE NIGERIAN ARE STILL DOING THEIR DIRECT E-MAIL SCAMS BUT THEY HAVE ALSO BRANCHED OUT INTO PET ADOPTION SCHEMES BY RIPPING OFF PHOTOS OF ADORABLE PUPPIES THAT THEY DO NOT OWN AND CANNOT GET AND THEY ARE PRETENDING TO OFFER THESE FOR ADOPTION. THEY WILL TELL YOU YOU ONLY HAVE TO PAY THE POSTAGE FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING AND THEN THEY HAVE TO BUY A CERTAIN KIND OF SHIPPING CARRIER AND THEN THEY HAVE TO BRIBE THE CUSTOMS OFFICERS TO LET THE DOG OUT AND THEN THEY HAVE TO HAVE CERTAIN IMMUNIZATIONS AND A CERTAIN KIND OF FOOD FOR THEM IN SHIPMENT AND HAVE TO TAKE THEM TO THE VET TO CERTIFY THEY ARE HEALTHY AND BY NOW, YOU REALIZE THAT THERE IS NO PUPPY BECAUSE THESE PRICES THEY WANT REIMBURSED ARE ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS. AND WHEN YOU REALIZE THE ONLY WAY TO CONTACT THESE SCAMMERS IS BY E-MAIL, THEY DO NOT ANSWER AND ARE WORKING ON MORE SUCKERS. IT MAKES THEM A LOT OF CROOKED MONEY RIPPING OFF PEOPLE. RESCUE A DOG FROM YOUR LOCAL HUMANE SOCIETY AND THAT WAY YOU WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE GETTING A REAL DOG FOR A REASONABLE PRICE.
