Gus DaSilva called us for help after he attempted to install his own swimming pool heater.  Gus mentioned he didn't think he did the electrical correctly and asked us to come install that portion.  We did, tested the heater briefly to ensure it fires then we left.  Gus agreed to pay $125 for our service but his "wife has the checkbook" to send him an invoice.  We invoiced him forthwith and began calling a month later.  We only received a response after we sent Mayra DaSilva and Gus DaSilva a mechanic's lien notice.  Suddenly, now they claim we didn't terminate the electrical properly and that had to spend $400 and "has to hire another contractor to finish the work that you had started"  WHAT WORK?  The terminating of 3 wires?  Then goes on to state "I can't not pay you for services that you did not complete and that were faulty and caused me to have to pay another contractor $400.00 to finish the work you damaged".  First I believe Mayra DaSilva meant to say I can't, not can't not.  $400, pulled completely out of thin air.  Then Mayra DaSilva attaches one of the phoniest invoices I have ever seen.  No company name, no phone number, no address, no contractors license number, no description of anything related to ANYTHING that we did in terminating the electrical connection.  Furthermore, the bogus invoice claims 4 items were replaced "water sensor, air sensor, spa switch controller, fuse".  These are related to the automation system, not the pool heater.  The duplicitous invoice stats the parts were $150, you cannot purchase all 4 of these parts for this amount.  The spa side controller alone is over $400! Air and water sensors are $75 each all day long.  The invoice also states "reconnect low voltage cable on pool heater.  If they are referring the remote switch it was already connected and part of the automation, not the pool heater.  Not only are they thieves for not paying for services they received now they are liars too.

Copy of bogus invoice attached

Mayra DaSilva writes, almost as inarticulate and riddles with errors as the "invoice"

"If you do not remove the lien that you have incorrectly placed on my home.  I will report you with the Contractors State License Board, and will be sending you an invoice for the $400.00 that I had to pay to repair the damages you did to my pool's electrical panel."

Someone who clearly doesn't know what she's talking about... just like the author of the "invoice".
