What a rip off! I went in there with 5 brand spanking new craft books.  I bought these books on a whim and then decided when I got then I had changed my mind....I'm allowed to do that right?  Anyway, I brought these books in there and they are in stellar condition and new, within the last 2 years or so.  I bought them for at least $15 off Amazon.  You know what they offered me?  $5 for all 5!!! I couldn't believe it.  Don't go there.  Besides that they were rude and smelly lol

All of our buy offers are based on age/condition and the supply/demand at the particular store a customer visits, at the particular time of their visit. It is important to us that our customers understand the process and that each has the opportunity not to accept the offer.

The customer is welcome to call our Customer Care line at 1-800-883-2114 for any additional follow up. ~JW

Not a Ripoff...

Contrary to what you may think, a store is not responsible for your "whims".  You were offered a price to buy back the books, and you have a choice.  You can either accept their price or decline it and try to find a better price.  That is exactly how it is supposed to work.

If you changed your mind when you got the books, why didn't you return them right then and there and get ALL of your money back?  No, you decided to hold them for 2 years.  If you think they are such a RipOff why not go to another Used Book store?  But figure just by definition and standards the stores will at most sell your book for about 50% off.  Meaning that $15 book is now $7.50, that is of course if it sells.  If it doesn't sell comes the inevidable markdowns and discounts.  But now, even if they are going to be able to sell it at $7.50 doesn't mean you are going to get $7.50.  After all if they did that they would be loosing money with all of their overhead.  So they are going to offer you less, now how much less is the question.  So as I said go try and sell it somewhere else, but if you are expecting anything more than $2-$3 you may be in for a big let down.
