If you have time, you can file a lawsuit against them. Shouldn't be hard to prove they broke the law.
And what law did they break? Please don't say the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) because that law doesn't apply in this case- the calling party is the CREDITOR.
If there is a State statute that they violated, that would certainly be helpful, and perhaps, you should post a cite from the law to help the author.

It's definitely illegal for them to do that. I'm not surprised that HD financial services are doing something like that, they aren't ethical and don't follow legal guidelines. The problem is that it's not so easy to fight them. Unless you're proficient with the system or have access to a lawyer, not much you can do.
