Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was told by Mitchel (a sales rep) over the phone when I was calling to inquire about the new price option they had, (pay half of the sticker price for the car) that this indeed was not a lease, and that we would be financed for the first half of the sticker price, then financed the other half after the first loan was done.

When we came in to see him, I again asked if this was a loan, and he said no.

The gentleman trying to help "pressure us into the deal" assured us this was not a lease we agreed to the deal.

We also asked the financing guy if we were in a lease, he said no multiple times.

When we got the contract to sign, it did infact say lease, so we asked him why did it say lease. He said because the "price option" was such a new program, they did not have the proper contract to sign, and that our real contract would be sent within 30 days.

He did go over the 12000 mile clause but said that was only a matter if we choose not to finance the other half of the sticker price after the fist loan term was up.

When I got my payment coupon, it indeed said a lease, so I called back, and was told that I was indeed in a lease. So I called and talk to Charles Wallace and he said there was nothing he could do, because we did sign a contract stating a lease. I told him what happened and he said I'm sorry there was nothing he could do. That is was my word against his dealership.

So I got my credit Union to send a check to Nissan to pay off the lease, and Nissan has lost the check, and no one will help me. So in a couple days I will be hit with a late fee because I can not afford to pay my loan and this bogus deal from Harrelson. Buyer Beware!

So you say you are Mr. Llyod Edwards, If that is indeed the case... you need to read my report over since you have no clue what I said.... you say that I said I knew I was signing a lease!!!! Not the case.... I called Dec. 7, 2006 (not 2005 as you stated) and asked your employee Mitchel what your "price option" commercial on the radio I heard was all about. He stated that we get financed (notice he used the word finance not a lease) for 1st half of sticker price, then after 2 1/2 years we would get financed the other 1/2. I told him that it sounded like a lease and that I wasnt interested because I didnt want a lease. He told me to come down and he could explain in person. I did.... and after hearing again.... I said again.... it sounded like a lease and we dont want a lease. He got charles wallace over to my table to explain... in which he explained it the same way... NOT A LEASE... but a new way of financing (notice that word finance again). He said that it was a way to get people like us in a suv at a lower monthly payment. After not fully be convienced... he got yet another guy over to our table that proceeded to push us into this sale. ( I do not remember his name but was a heavy set white man.) After a couple hours of being reashured this wasnt a lease but a " price option" we said yes. When we got to the finance guys office... I noticed the document said lease and he was explaining something about only being able to drive 12,000 a year if we dont plan on financing the 2nd half of the sticker price in 2 1/2 years. SO I said... that really sounds like a lease and asked him yet again the same thing I asked the 3 guys.... he too said not a lease and that we were being fincanced the first half of the sticker price. Then we could finance the other half in 2 1/2 years. My husband and I sat there a while contimplating on signing that paper because my stomach was trying to tell me to not do it. your finance manager tried reashuring me again and asked why I was hessitating ( like I havent even told him what my concern was) So again..... I told him too that it sounded like a lease and that we didnt want to lease. He said again that we were being financed and not to worry. And explained to me that our document said lease because "price option" was so new to your company that yall didnt have the document that said price option and that the corrected document would come in the mail with in 30 days. I wasnt fully convienced... but charles wallace came in the office we were in and reashured me that it was indeed true. So being the nieve consumer that I was... I foolishly believed your employees and signed. 30 days later... I got the paperwork and it said....... LEASE.. So I called to talk to the finance manager about it and found out he no longer worked there... so I talked to charles wallace in which he denied ever saying anything to me about price option ( which is a bold face lie). I went in person to see charles wallace and in the end he said. And I quote " its your word against ours, and there is nothing you can do about it." You say to come in a buy another car from you... HECK NO!!!! I want you to buy back this suv I hate with a passion because of your stupid, lying, good for nothing dealership. Now I am stuck in a car with owing 24? and it is only worth 13? I would have NEVER paid 29,9 for this peice of junk that I could have bought for 23,9 at modern nissan.... but 29,9 is what I had to get my bank to send nissan to get out of that stupid lease I didnt want. Dont worry Mr. Edwards, if you dont want to buy back my truck..... because if you dont.... all I am going to do is continue to tell everyone how bad your dealership is. I have already convenced over 50 people not to buy from your dealership and of course you know how word travels about bad businesses.. they have told people too. I am only going to stop if you buy back my truck to prove there is an ounce of decency in your dealership. Look forward to hearing your response... and hope that you have the decency to do what is right. Crystal of Kannapolis

EVERY car salesperson I've EVER dealt with stretched the truth one way or another, period. They're car salesman because they can't do anything else. Ever drive up on a car lot and they're swarming like vultures? That because THEY ARE VULTURES!!! Ever hear a kid say they want to grow up to be a car salesman??? NO!!! Why would a kid want to grow up to be a turd?

Dear Crystal, I just have been informed about your report, I am sorry to say I have no idea of what you are talking about. I do sell many cars each month to many, many, different people. I am very sorry that your name does not ring a bell? I don't recall talking with you at any time either. If I understand your letter right it states you leased a car from Harrelson Nissan in 2005? and you did read the wording where the contract stated lease, you also was told it was a lease by the finance manager, also you where made aware about the mileage of 12000 per year, you still have stated you did'nt know or understand at that time it was a lease. I am sorry to say I don't get involved with every deal that is made and I am also not made aware of each and every promblem that might acure in the dealerships daily opperations. .But I would like to help you if I am able, and you are willing , if you are not happy with the car you got from Harrelson Nissan 3 years ago I will take it back in on trade tomorrow for either a new car, truck,or suv or even a preowned automobile. I would be willing to put more in you trade in then the current market value. Once again I am very sorry you feel the way you do, I work very hard each day and I strive in makeing people happy. " If you are willing to be reasonalble" then I am most differently willing to be flexable. Please call me so I may handle your deal personally I will be in the store most days and you may reach me at this number 803-366-8171 I look foward takeing care of you Best Regards, Lloyd Edwards

All 3 of your comments are more than likely not even true, I know what I went through for a fact was the truth, and everyone at Harrelson Nissan that I dealt with were bold face liers, and RUDE!!!!!!! Why is that your "not so perfect" mr edwards, is listed at being at 3 different nissan dealerships with in that little bit of time. HMMM. Maybe because he kept getting caught with all his fraud buddies at each dealership he worked at up until he and the others were not allowed to work for another Nissan dealership. Each of these guys should be a shamed of themselves for putting people through this sort of crap.

We wanted to purchase a Nissan Altima for our daughter and in the past had bought one from Lloyd Edwards at Harrelson Nissan. We learned Mr. Edwards was working at Nissan of Statesville and we made the trip up there to purchase our new Nissan Altima. He again not only gave us a fantastic deal, but treated us liek his own. Whne we are ready for our next Nissan, we will be calling Lloyd Edwards. His follow up and customer service are graet and made it an easy experience for us all.

Lloyd Edwards, Best deals & greatest service

I was helping my elderly mother purchase a Nissan vehicle. After visiting several dealerships we decided to visit Nissan West Gastonia. Lloyd Edwards the General Manger of the dealership actually helped us himself! My mother was undergoing some health issues and money was an issue for us. Mr. Edwards not only found the best deal for us, but he really helped us. He treated both myself and my mother very well. He was very respectful to us and made the whole experience a very easygoing. I travel a lot for work and Mr. Edwards has made arrangements to assist my mother when her car is due for servicing! Now that is great service! We'll definetely recommend Lloyd Edwards when you need to purchase a car for your family!

I happened to come across this while filing a complaint on another unrelated matter. I wanted to share from my own experience, Mr. Lloyd Edwards treated my mother and myself with utmost respect, fairness and gave us the best deal on a new Nissan. We are very happy with the service Mr. Edwarsd himself provided us at the dealership. I would definetely recommend purchasing a vehicle from him.

These guys must travel around and do the same scam at different dealerships. Charles Wallace is now at Nissan of Statesville, along with Daniel Darlak, Darren Bates, the ellusive Lloyd Edwards and probably some others. All these guys are previously from Harrelson Nissan. Read my rip off report to see how the same scam is now being made in Statesville. www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff248373.htm

Correcting a word mistake

#13Author of original report

Wed, January 24, 2007

In my first paragraph, last sentence, I made a mistake and put the word loan when it should have been lease. So to recap correctly.... When we came in to see him, I again asked if this was a lease, and he said no.
