Harry's Outboards (Harry Shnoe, Mark Snow) on eBay is a ripoff! Non- compliance after payment in full twice! Quincy Massachusetts
Feb. 12, 2004 I won an eBay auction item #2458773105 $456.11. *1/1986 Mercury 35 HP electric start/short shaft outboard motor in good running order and condition/ready to pallet ship.
*A Mark Snow demanded I pay pal him the entire amount direct debit from my bank checking account before he would set up to ship to me in Dallas, TX.'s *I was so excited to make such a good deal. He could not locate the serial #, weight or the year either... He claimed he was rather new at this sort of stuff, so please be patient. OK?
*He called me back later that evening to tell me one of his boys told him it weighed no more than 198#, so it will be just right for my older Avon air boat that I had just receieved. [My previous eBay auction that went smooth as silk.]
*Red flags were waving everywere. I phoned a Mercury Service Dept with what info I had. They told me that motor was way too heavy for any inflatable, as it weighed over 238# dry. *I was furious, emailing Mark Snow or whoever he was/is. He promptly switched me to a [newer-in better condition] Johnson Evinrude 30 HP electric start/short shaft and through in a new fume free 3 gallon gas tank that fit that series motor, all for the same price as I had paid him a few days earlier. OK?
*I asked him if he had the serial number and weight of this unit and he said the very same thing; I am too busy to check, but I will later on after I have processed your 7.5 motor that he would personally secure to the pallet in the shop. *Feb 15, 2004 I won that 7.5 outboard for $90.83. What a deal.*
