Surprisingly this past Tuesday/12/21st/2004, I got an very unexspected email from Harvest Capital at www.harvestcapital.ca

I too did send to an application with M.O. (money order) to Harvest Capital for an prepaid Mastercard.

The app. was snailmailed back in August 2004 for my PMC to be received by 09/15th/2004.

However the PMC never did arrive. I too did send many emails to admin. with no replies. Even contacted the BBB located within Etobicoke Ont.

The BBB have attempted to contact admin of Harvest Capital with no success back in September 2004.

However below is an email I received from

Harvest Capital admin or an manager representing

Harvest Capital;

December 21, 2004

Dear Customer,

We wanted to give you an update on your product

order and our company. You will be receiving your

order within 1-2 weeks.

We have been in business since 1995, and since then

have branched off into multiple areas of business,

each with it's own staff.

When we started our prepaid credit card offer we had

no idea how popular it would become. At first we

started with 100-120 orders a day, however now we gain

2500 - 3000 new customers every day. For this year we

will have gained over 1 million new customers for our

prepaid credit card. We only expected 50 thousand.

This is 20 times more business than we expected!

As you can imagine we were simply not prepared for the

orders that flooded in to us.

On top of this, research shows that 7 million Americans

and Canadians are using prepaid credit cards now. By

2010 that number will have increased to 38 million.

Even current traditional credit card users appreciate

the idea of switching over to or adding a prepaid

credit card for online and basic credit card spending.

So, over the past 4 months we have been adding more

dedicated office space, more staff including more

customer service agents and more equipment to handle

the increase in demand.

Over the next week we will be upgrading our website

plus we will be including a C.O.D option and more

product options. We are working hard to make

improvements to meet the increased demands for prepaid

credit cards.

Harvest Capital offers the very best prepaid card. The

lowest cost, easiest to use and most professional.

Thank you once again for your order. As we are

upgrading our web site and email system over the next

5 days please do not respond to this email.

Once again your order will arrive in 1-2 weeks time.

Seasons Greetings,

Harvest Capital

=============================

If above were true, they could have updated their website back in September indicating the above information and post this info on their website that they were not ready for business.

Instead Harvest Capital has intencenialy mislead

all that have sent payments giving us the impression

that Harvest Capital was a potencial scam and/or fraud.

I sent an reply email to Manager (Brian) of Harvest Capital accusing Harvest Capital of fraud, scam, and a rip-off.

Below is the 2nd reply I received from Harvest Capital;

==============================

Many of the police and government bureaus also use

prepaid credit cards and none have contacted us

regarding a complaint.

I have marked your order down for a refund so you will

receive that instead. It will be mailed to your Ottawa

address.

Thank you and seasons greetings!

Brian

If any other public within North America has sent payment by M.O. to Harvest Capital.

And as of this month of December 2004 did not receive their order.

I will be pondering a law suite or a class action law suite against Harvest Capital.

If indeed I receive my unexspected refund. It will include Harvest Capital details.

I will be willing to co-operate with other disatisfied clients providing you can provide proof of sent payment to Harvest Capital.

I was looking for a Digital camera and saw this web site from harvest capital that said they had 5 cameras remaining which I have been looking for. I needed to contact this Brian guy with payment for the camera. He emailed me back and said to use either money order or paypal. I used paypal. That was back on October 8th 2004. This is January 1st 2005 and I still have not yet received the camera. I thought it might have been the strike with customs on the Canadian border, but I checked harvest capital web site and ripoffreport.com came up. When I read it my blood boiled. I'll update on any new developments.

In search for a specific camera I've been browsing on the Internet and local retailers for, I've come across an Ad placed while searching on Google for a "Canon G5 Digital Camera" and found a commerce company down in Texas selling off five (5) of these camera's for $350 USD. http://www.harvestcapital.ca/g5.html In a shock of amazement, I sent off an email to there general in-box requesting more information on the camera and any details that they might have to purchase a unit. A day later I receive an email from Brain (responsible for selling the camera's) about the process to send a certified cheque to there office's in Etobicoke, Ontario. Upon arrival of the cheque, Brian would send off the camera's via FedEx ground at there cost from New York, New York. The following is a copy of the email I received from Brian; Hello, My name is Brian and I am in charge of selling the G5's. We have 2 left. They are brand new and come with Canon's one year manufactures warranty which is valid in the USA and Canada. We also offer a 30 day money back guarantee from the time you receive the camera. Shipping / insurance is free via FedEx ground. We only offer one way to purchase and that is via money order. If you purchase, please send a money order for $350 USD(preferably international) to: Harvest Capital attn: Special orders 1530 Albion Road #47586 Etobicoke, Ontario M9V 5H4 Canada After you have sent your money order please email me and tell me, and include your name and full address so I can set aside your camera until I receive the payment. The camera will be shipped from NY, NY. Thank you and Seasons Greetings, Brian :) The initial response from the email caused to second guess my planned purchase only to research Harvest Capital on Google just to play it safe. Sure enough, the first hit brought up was titled ..."Harvest Capital Manager Brian (Last Name Unknown) Ripoff, Scam, Fraud! Etobicoke Ontario" Thank you for the effort and time spent to let us consumers know potential acts of crime from cowards like Brian. This saved me the aggravation, disappointment and hopefully... put this character to Justice!
