I contacted Harvey Reese (7/07) in regards to having licensed an African American (history) trivia

board game, and was asked to describe the game prior to being sent submission/ evaluation forms; and, after doing so, I received the submission forms.

These forms instructed me to provide drawings, photos, details of the game and an submission

fee of $175.00; and it would take 3 to 5 weeks to fully evaluate my game proposal and he would

send his report immediately following; in which, he did.

In Mr. Reese's report he evaluated my game proposal as "intelligently presented", and that he had "a clear understanding of the game in terms of its design and function" and that "designing

and manufacturing the physical components obviously present no difficulties" and he saw "no

reason why the game would not play as intended."

Mr. Reese went on to say that my game is an "interesting idea, intelligently conceived and well

thought through" and "sure" there would be individuals(of all cultures) "who would enjoy playing" my game;

however, ( with the abundance of meritorious qualities ) Mr. Reese decided not to act as my

agent in seeking me an licensing deal.

Mr. Reese cited his reason as THERE IS AN" DIMINISHING MARKET FOR BOARD GAMES".

If in fact Mr. Reese's reasoning is true (which I doubt very seriously as board games are developed and marketed yearly), he was well aware of this fact when he asked me to describe

my invention, and more so before he sought and accepted my $175.00 submission fee!

Further, I question if I was a factor in Mr. Reese's decision not to seek an licensing agreement,

as, in one of the photos I forwarded to Mr. Reese I was holding a model of my proposed game;

yes, you guessed it, I'm an African American.

I would advise potential inventors to beware of Mr, Reese or, you just might get FLEECED!!!!
