I placed an order with this company.  I was drawn in by the "as seen on MSNBC, ABC," etc...

The site makes it appear that you will ONLY be charged $4.95 shipping for your 45 day trial bottle.  I was concerned when I didn't receive email confirmation of my order.  I wanted to make sure that my debit card was not going to be charged incorrectly.  I went back searching the internet for "hcg extreme" because that is the name I remembered, not "xtreme".  It took lots of searching to get back to the exact site.  In all of that searching I found about 4 other scam warnings about this company and others like it.  All of them warned of extra charges of $79.95-$89.95 on their accounts without notice or permission. They also talked about the charges continuing every 30 days.

Unlike claims by the other reports, I was able to contact the company.  Although, it took some time to find a number and I had to sit on hold for close to 30 minutes to get someone on the line.  I told her that I wanted confirmation of my order.  She said that it could take up to 24 hours.  I asked her what address I could expect the confirmation from.  She told me that there were multiple people at the corporate office that took care of that, so she had no way of knowing the address.

I asked about her about the monthly charges, and she confirmed it.  She said that my  card would be charged $89.95 every 30 days until I called to cancel.  The website said a "30 day" money back guarantee, but she told me that I would need to cancel within 14 days.  That way they would have plenty of time to process the return before the charge would occur.  She offered me a 25% discount because it was so good of me to call and request more info, so now my card would only be charged $67.46 monthly.

The call also revealed that the amount in the trial bottle was only a 14 day supply, not 45 like the picture of the bottle indicated.  And they could extend the "14 day" trial if my shipment didn't get there in the 3-5 days like promised.  Too many red flags were going off, especially since the other scam reports talked about their products never arriving.

I called back and spoke with another person to cancel my order.  She tried to hard sell me on the product, promising that I would not be able to find a comparable product in stores.  She even offered to take the price down to 50% less, but I told her nothing would convince me that I could trust that this was not a scam.  After about another 5 minutes of haggling with her, I was able to get an order id, and her word (no email verification) that my card would only be charged $4.95.  Unfortunately, though the product could not have been shipped out, and I cancelled within two hours of ordering, my card had already been charged.

I will be watching my bank account very carefully for several months now to make sure that this company does what they say.  I can not talk about the effectiveness of their product, but their website falsely advertises the costs involved and I don't feel that I can trust them not to charge my card unexpectedly.  Only time will tell.
