I just cant understand how anyone could file a complaint on this company. I too was in a similair situation looking for health insurance for myself with pre existing conditions. I was so tired of hearing from every company that I was applying for that I was uninsurable. I put my information online looking for quotes and I was contacted by a large brokerage, I spoke to a man by the name of Keith who informed me once again that I was uninsurable but that there may be something that he could do for me. He went over the elite plus max plan with me witch was with Health Option One, he was verry up front and honest with me about how the coverage was structured. He never once misled me by "hiding" the fact that my pre existing medical conditions were not fully covered in the first year, In fact he was very up front and honest that I would have a 12 month waiting period on my heart disorder and my type 2 diabetes. (which I will say is alot better then some of the other companies like Humana who said they would cover me for $1000 per month and would NEVER cover my existing medical conditions.) he then informed me that I would still be able to have my doctor visits covered and my prescription medications covered in the first year as well. I was very happy with the customer service and I have now had this plan for a total of 7 months and I am very pleased with the amount of coverage I have and with how much money this plan has saved me. Im not sure why it is that you had a problem with Health Option one but I do know that this coverage is better then no coverage at all and that I have had absolutley no problem with this company since I have been insured with them in the last 7 months, I wish you the best of luck and hopefuly you have found health coverage with another company but your best bet would have been the Health Option One plan.

The representative, who was new and has since been terminated, admittedly made several errors in his explanation of the plan benefits. This plan is a legitimate limited medical indemnity benefit plan licensed in 37 states. Neither our agency, nor the plan administrators, "were working for Beech Street". Beech Street is a large medical provider network utilized by this and many other medical plans. Any clients asking about specific providers would be advised as to whether they participate or not. The fact that the plan has providers in New Hampshire does not ensure that every client's doctor or clinic participates, however some reimbursements are available for out-of-network doctor visits. The poster seems to be alarmed at having been quickly responded to and having been asked for her credit card number to get started, however a payment of the first month's premium and a one time enrollment fee must accompany the application.
