Wow, seriously?!? You pay only $768.00 for a ring and expect a million dollar treament to it? I didn't know they even make a actual decent quality ring that cheap for a wedding ring. You should have read all the fine print of what will happen when you get a ring resized...DUH of course it will change the appearace of the setting, you are changing the the desing and layout...WOW, unreal...way to slander a company, of which they can sue you for that.

You really should have done your homework. Any time you have a channel-set ring sized, there will be issues with stones being lose or falling out. That is why this type of ring needs to be pruchased in the correct size. It's one of the hazards of the kind of ring. It's like wearing silk and expecting it not to snag when you brush against something sharp. This is a case of simple geometry. The stones were made to find in a size 7 band. When you shrink that band to a 6, there's going to be lose stones. The band isn't the same shape anymore. Also, they were not asking you to commit fraud. They were puting your ring in it's original state so that you could take it back to the original seller and make your claim about sizing. The intent was clearly so that you could get a ring that was the style you wanted that was made to be that size instead of forcing a 7 to be a 6. It's funny that you understand why the stones don't sparkle the same in the modified ring, but you're upset about lose stones because of sizing. Also, were you paying to have the ring appraised? Was the person you were talking to an appraiser? How is this person supposed to know the value of your ring? Put two pairs of identical jeans next to each other; are you going to be able to tell which ones are Ralph Lauren and which are Wrangler? And you were presented with multiple solutions. 1. put the ring back to the way it was and make a claim with the original seller. or 2. Have them alter the ring. And were you this upset with the original seller who sold you a ring in the wrong size that could not be sized and still have the same quality? Why isn't there anythin mentioned about your frustrations with the original seller? Why didn't you buy the right size in the first place? Or exchange it for the right size when you found out it was the wrong one? An exchange is cheaper than having something sized! And this is all leaving out the part where you STOLE the repairs done on the ring. All of these were repairs you requested for one reason or another. Sound like you're th theif, not Helzberg. And as far as being a "valued customer", I sure hope you had purchased other things from this store to claim this status. This series of repairs is not something that elevates to to "valued" status. It's like claiming the gas station vaues me becuase I buy my 25 cent packs of gum there every two years. You came in with a piece you bought somewhere else, asked to have one of the cheapest repairs in the industry done on a piece the repars should not be done on and then you want to cry like a baby? I don'tblame them for not coddling you. Why? So you come in and buy some cheap earrings and then whine in a week when they're not shiny? Good for Helzberg!

i received my first engagement ring from my fiance a few years ago. within six months i realized that the center stone was falling out of the setting, so since i had brought my ring in the designated time frame stated on the paperwork, i was told the repair would be covered, under warranty. when i went to pick up my ring they stated that the deductible on the work i had done wasnt met so i had to pay the difference for the stone being put into the setting again. thankfully i had my mother with me, she had some words with the manager and we didnt have to pay the cost of repair, which was nearly the cost of the ring new. so i am glad i found this site to share my story with you all and read yours people need to be informed of companies that practice like this.!!
