I bought a brand new jeep from herb chambers on114 in danvers in 2011. They are the only ones who have serviced my jeep. 6 months ago my check engine light came on. I took my jeep to them 5x and was told it was a sensor don't worry every tone. They finally tell me it's an evr valve & it needs to be replaced. They fix it- it costs me 100 because they have to put it thru extended warranty. If they figured it out 6 months ago it would have been dealer warranty & cost me nothing. I'm also having issues with oil consumption- engine is burning oil- jeep only has 40g miles. They said they did consumption test & it's nothing. They changed the oil & jeep burned 2 quarts in 90 miles. I called the manufacture, & they told me to bring it to someone else for diagnostics. Do not buy anything from these crooks if youre planning on getting the vehicle serviced there. They are scum

While I appreciate your candid commentary perhaps you should do some research prior to answering. I have spoken with two independent mechanics and the actual manufacturer. The fact that the vehicle burned through that much oil in less than 100 miles is a huge sign something is wrong. If it had been 800 to 1000 miles, that might just be me driving it. But not 100 miles. I have no problem paying for service- Ive paid for brakes, oil changes, tuneups, all without complaint and incident, so I am not cheap. My issue is with the fact it took 5 trips for something to be diagnosed and.... obviously there is an issue with the engine burning oil. Another authorized dealer is more than happy to handle it for me and believed that there is in fact an actual problem.

Burning oil sounds like you need to replace the O-rings. Sorry to say this but YOU are responsible for THAT problem. Its YOUR driving that wears down the O-rings on your piston heads. Had THEY caused the issue by driving YOUR vehicle, I would say go after them. But THEY DID NOT cause this damage, so attempting to hold THEM responsible is really silly on your part. They probably don't want to inform YOU of what the real issue is due to how YOU respond to bad news. Think about it for a few mins. HOW do YOU act in public?? If YOU are known to throw tempertantrums or cause a scene when you don't get your way, then its understandable WHY they don't want to give YOU bad news. Im pretty sure that YOU are the type of consumer who will try and flip it back on THEM because YOU don't want to pay for the ring job. It IS expensive and time consuming. THEY probably don't want to give you the bad news because of those two issues. Either THEY have experience with YOU as a problem customer, OR THEY know YOU are going to do ANYTHING you can to get out of paying for YOUR vehicle issue and find a way to blame THEM and try and make THEM pay for it. Just from what YOU have posted I get that impression. YOU even state HOW CHEAP you REALLY are in your post...........They fix it- it costs me 100 because they have to put it thru extended warranty. If they figured it out 6 months ago it would have been dealer warranty & cost me nothing......So YOU have already proven that YOU expect OTHERS to pay for your issues. Hopefully THEY don't find YOUR post!!! THEY can prove YOU wrote it and its VERY defaming!!! Meaning that YOU will have to pay THEM if they took YOU to court.
