Go to your Courthouse and search the "vault" for the Deed to your house, from HFC. This is FREE, and easy to do. Look at the signature(s) on the Deed of Trust. It probably is NOT yours. It wasn't mine, nor my wife's. A Judge can remove that FRAUDULENT paper from your property. If the DoT is a FRAUD, you can bet the rest of the loan docs they have in Illinois are too. Send them a demand letter for ALL of the paperwork in their possession. You'll be pleasantly surprised when you find they don't have your signature(s) ANYWHERE. Without a proper deed, HFC will have to remove thyemselves from your credit report immediately. the Judge will enforce that also. HFC/MBNA/Beneficial were all sued in every state and finally federal courts because of this matter. They pled GUILTY to all counts. This was the standard operating procedure for them. Their Notaries were forging documents, and very poorly. HFC tried to settle with everyone for $500. HA! If you took the $500, you would have to pay the remainder of the FRAUDULENT loan. Fat chance of that happening. Go to the deed Vault and begin your new life of carefree abandonment of keeping your house, and not paying the note.
