only to find out within 4 to 5 weeks all their satellite offices were closed. Never a word and after pushing to close all these loans mistakes were made that they said would be corrected which they weren't. And now I am in foreclosure because of their poor transfer of info between changing companys a few times. They need my original paperwork to tell them about my loan. Not happening.

 

 

HFC? BENEFICIAL made a big move for my business back in 2006. They wrote all these loans over the phone only. Promised the moon until you went tooffice to sign papers. Not at all what was actually agreed upon. The month was December and having a local office was important to me for having good customer service.  HFC offices were everywhere. Little did I know that they were less than 6 weeks of closing everything down. Took them along time to get out checks to the loans I was paying off, and I do believe that there is still one that never got paid. The company had to have known when all my  paperwork was being signed that they would be closing in less than 5 weeks. For good. The company has changed  servicers quite a few times. Last conversation with them, I am behind and in foreclosure , they did  not have my original terms right. Told the service person and they told me if I could supply my so called rates they would check it out. Have never been through such hell in my life. Had taken ill almost 2 years ago that is exasterbated by this whole mess. They had us sign blank paperwork when our taxes weren't included in the payment I was told by the girl over the phone. But that never happened. I have vivid conversations in my head about the great gal I talked with on the phone during the negotiations of the loan which wasa HELOC loan only for me. High interest. The lady servicer at that time said she was swamped and any problems would be taken care of in the office. Closing day was just like 4 days away. And paperwork wasn't right. At that time I had no idea that they were closing everything. Offices I mean. Went back a few days after the sign was on the building that they were closed. They knew they were closing and lied to us all about promises they couldn't possibly keep if all the people were gone. I know that now. Did get a letter about the offices being closed and any questions could be called in. Chaos for months. I believe was an India call center. They never gave me the deal also that your interest rate will drop for payments made on time. Said that program was done after the closing but that was the only reason I signed at a higher rate. Total ripoff. And I am reading other letters about the same practicess. Now in foreclosure because they are almost impossible to get a remodification with.  Company went from HFC to Beneficial to GreenLeaf now to HSBC. Would like an accounting of my account from the beginning.
