It is very important to inspect any product you have deliverd in the pressence of the delivery men. Most delivery personel prefer if you do it that way. If the company that delivers the product damages it they are usualy more than happy to discount the product or deliver new to you. HH Gregg does have on the delivery paperwork where you wife signed a statement that says something to the effect I have inspected my product and it is not damaged and have received the product in good condition. They reason why that is there is to protect the company if the recieving party damages it than tiries to say that it was that way when deliverd unfortunately by your own admission your wife signed saying it was in good condition I do not see how this is a ripoff. I am sorry for your situation though but I do not see how it is the fault of HH Gregg.

If you look at your HHgregg delivery invoice, directly above your wife's signature you will see a red colored box. Inside this box are words very similar to these: "I, the recipient of the above listed product have received this delivery in full and I have inspected the product and find no damage unless otherwise noted on this delivery invoice" and to the right of that are two boxes where partial delivery is to be noted, and product damage is to be noted. You had already received $100 off of the price of the product because of noted damage and the delivery team and store location most likely thought you were trying to rip them off by causing damage to the product in an effort to obtain more money off of your already discounted product. It is unfortunate that you received a damaged product to begin with, but these are very rare occurances. Of the thousand or so people who take delivery of appliances every day from HHgregg, only a handfull of people report that their product was damaged. Often times these are manufacture flaws. You can always call in-home-service out to your home to repair these issues, but screaming at the retailer almost never yields satisfactory results.
