MY HUSBAND AND I FOUND A 2004 MALIBU MAXX LS ON VEHIX.COM AT THIS DEALERSHIP AND IT IS LISTED AT 8,540.00. WE CALLED AND CONFIRMED THE PRICE WITH A SALESMAN AND HE SAID YUP THIS IS IT. SO WE GET READY TO GO THERE TO BUY THE VEHICLE AND CHECK IT OUT AND WHAT NOT.

SAYS YOU MIGHT WANNA NOT COME DOWN THE BUMPER NEEDS TO BE FIXED. HE TALKS TO MY HUSBAND AND MY HUSBAND IS MILITARY AND KNOWS ABOUT CARS AND SAYS WELL LET ME CHECK IT OUT. SO WE GET THERE CHECK OUT THE CAR AND MY HUSBAND SAYS I CAN FIX THIS AND WE CONFIRM THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE AGAIN AND YES IT IS 8540.00!

WE FILLED OUT PAPER WORK AND WE ARE READY TO GET IT AND GO! WELL SOME MANAGERS KEPT SAYING THIS IS NOT THE VEHICLE. WELL IT MATCHES THE ONE ON VEHIX DOWN TO THE VIN NUMBER! THEY WERE NOT HAPPY THAT THE CAR WAS LISTED CAUSE THEY WANTED TO FIX IT UP AND TURN AROUND TO SELL IT FOR 15000.00 BUT IT WAS LISTED SO THEN WE GET THE RUN AROUND SAYING ITS LATE WE WILL GET A PHONE CALL IN THE MORNING ABOUT IT. TO SEE IF WE COULD JUST HAVE IT AS IS.

MY HUSBAND AND I CALLED ALL DAY NEVER GOT A PHONE CALL BACK. WHEN I GOT A HOLD OF INTERNET SALES LADY SHE CLAIMED SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON BUT YET TOLD ME A BIT ABOUT THE SITUATION! THEN TELLS ME THE MANAGER WILL GO AHEAD AND DO IT FOR 8540.00! WELL THEN AS I WAS GETTING THE KIDS READY TO GO DOWN THERE AND GET THIS CAR I GET A CALL BACK FROM THIS LADY TO LET ME KNOW IT'S 12,900.00! BUT ITS LISTED AT 8540.00 I TELL HER AND THAT IS FALSE ADVERTISING! SHE THEN TELLS ME I CAN SPEAK TO A MANAGER.

I HANG UP WITH HER AND CALL BACK TO ASK TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER. WELL HE WAS A VERY RUDE PERSON AND TOLD ME I NEED TO BRING CASH TONIGHT IN ORDER TO GET IT FOR 8,540.00 I SAID FINE BUT ABOUT MY TRADE HE TELLS ME "I DON'T WANT YOUR TRADE!" I BEGAN TO TELL HIM MY HUSBAND IS MILITARY AND WILL BE TALKING TO JAG (LAWYER) AND THAT WE WILL HAVE HIS NAME ON THE BLACKLIST FOR MISLEADING AND FALSE ADVERTISING ESPECIALLY SINCE IT WAS ALREADY CONFIRMED. AND HE BEGANS TO TELL ME DO YOU THINK WITH YOUR HUSBAND IN THE MILITARY AND PUTTING ME ON THE BLACKLIST WILL HURT ME?

UMMM IT SHOULD SEEING WE DO HAVE A TON OF MILITARY PERSONNEL HERE IN THIS STATE AND I'M SURE MOST OF YOUR BUSINESS IS WITH MILITARY!

AFTER THAT HE HUNG UP ON ME. I'M VERY PISSED OFF WITH THE WAY THIS SITUATION! WE WERE SET ON GETTING THIS VEHICLE AT THE PRICE LISTED ON VEHIX.COM.

I HAVE THE PAPER PRINTED OUT FOR PROOF! WE TRIED CONTACTING THE SALESMAN WE SPOKE TO LAST NIGHT (REALLY GREAT GUY AND VERY HONEST AT THAT) BUT HE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL WHEN I DID REACH HIS CELL.

I WOULD NEVER REFER THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!!

I am Chris Bostick, the owner of Hickory Hollow Carnival Kia. We had a vehicle listed incorrectly on our web site. The person that wrote the above complaint saw the advertisement and contacted a new salesperson at the dealership. The salesperson went by the price, as did the customer, listed on the website. The customer contacted their bank for financing. The customer also had a vehicle they wished to trade on the Malibu. When I was contacted by the customer and made aware of the situation, I agreed to sell the Malibu for the listed price (even though there is a disclaimer on the site as to mistakes that from time to time happen, and prices are subject to change). The customer agreed to the price and then said they wanted to trade in their vehicle and wanted a price that I was not willing to pay for it. At that point they became upset that I would not pay retail for their trade in addition to taking a huge loss on the vehicle that was listed incorrectly. The incorrect price was truly a mistake and was in no way intentional. Sincerely, Chris Bostick Carnival Kia

I have bough a very nice used 02 Ford Explorer for a very reasonable price from Hickory Hollow Kia. My credit was not good at all and they were willing to do whatever it took to find a bank that would finance me. I was extremely impressed at how hard my salesperson worked. As far as the owner - I had the pleasure of meeting him eye to eye as I was waiting to get a bank approval, and he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Very polite, asking about my experience, making sure everything was going smoothly with finding a bank. He was very hands-on involved, everyone worked very hard. I was there for a couple of hours waiting and just observing their work place and I can say I saw nothing but pure professionalism. Nobody tried to rip me off. I did have a transmission issue within a first month of my purchase and Hickory Hollow Kia was more than happy to rebuild the whole thing for me FREE OF CHARGE! I don't think they're unprofessional, rude or anything like what I read in previous reports. Only good experience with Hickory Hollow Kia management here.
