Highland Lending Services Complete and total Ripoff Jersey City New Jersey
I applied for a bad credit loan online through a site that searches for lenders. Derrick from Highland called me on my cell phone and left several messages telling me I was approverd for a $5000 loan. They wanted 940.80 up front but I wouldn't have to make a payment until January. I received the faxed loan documents and filled them out and then faxed them back to the number. The next day "Derrick" called me back and said that they were unable to secure the loan and that I would have to send another $940 to get the loan. I told him that there was no way that I was going to send them anymore money, and that I wanted the money back that I had already sent to them. He explained that because I had opted for the next day deposit I would have to wait a whole month to get my refund. Today, May 30th, is the day that I was supposed to get my refund but I tried calling them and it doesn;t even ring, it's just a recording that says "Good-bye" and hangs up on you. I am in the Army and hopefully our consumer affairs people will be able to help me out, but I was basically screwed out of $956.14 and I may not ever see that money again. I have already sent the paperwork and fee to moneygram to get photocopies of the front and back of the cashed money orders. I would recommend doing the same to anyone else that fell prey to these jerks. I really hope that we can all get our money back, and then some.
