Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I had called to see if this small engine place had worked on four wheelers, they said they did.The next day they came and pick it up for me.I called the first week to see if was ready or not,mr.Smith said no and it needed a piston and rings, and said he had to order online for the parts.o.k fine.Called back in 2 weeks, four wheeler still not done.Mr.Smith said he not got around to it yet.Called back in 1 month, still not done, said that he couldn't get parts for it.Told me to try back in a few more weeks. So I  went to the small engine place, these stupid men didn't want to full with me,telling me the parts was not ordered yet and he was very busy with other cusomers and there lawn mowers. And now were on 3 months,I go  overat the small engine business and talk to Mr.Smith and four wheeler still ain't fixed,so I tell him by Monday July 15,2013 if it's not fixed I'm coming to pick up four wheeler and taking it somewhere else,Mr.Smith has had my four wheeler for 3 long months. So i pick up my four wheeler and ask him what I need to pay for picking it up,he said 30.00,I look at it,my four wheeler is in one big box,all parts in this box, frame is stripped down to the frame,it's a mess, and I'm mad,and Mr.Smith is asking for 30.00 for removel, that's what is says on my receipt. So now I have no four wheeler,it's all junk, every part is in a big box,the four wheeler frame has noing on it,no parts,no nothing.I will never take anything to Mr.Smith at Highway 70 Small Engine again.

Like every story, this one has 2 sides... The customer above brought to us a brken fourwheeler. a small polaris as I recall. We diagnosed it as having worn piston rings, no compression. The customer stated she had bought it for her son at an amout I recall of $400 dollars. Having not ridden it much before the child had blown it up. Imagine that... after our diagnosis we contacted customer, the parts plus labor we felt was to expensive for a machine that old and not having any real importance other than to baby sit her son. We put the job on hold AFTER fully dissasembling the machince only to find parts at a more reasonable rate. Customer called 3 times, each time we told her that we found the parts, but they werent in the price range we were looking.

In order to save our customer money, we did this. were we wrong? Im guessing yes at this point. but who puts 1k into a machine worth $500?? no one.. Even we wouldnt do that. The fact is, the customer above was ripped off, though not by us. by the seller of the machine. it was totally worn out. Also, we do in fact work on womens machines, 30% of our customers are indeed female. The fact that this customer clearly has issues with us and our work only reflects on her stupididty. stated above she calls our staff stupid, but the fact of the matter is she cant even spell "won't" or "you're" correctly, among the many other run on sentences, grammer mistakes, and mindless ramblings she wants to lead people to think we are a "ripoff" when we have over 2600 customers we serve each year.

As in any buisness that serves the public we know you cant keep everyone happy, and in doing the thing you feel would be best in helping the customer and help them save money we may have taken more time than usual. We did not label her machine "non-important" but we continued with our other work as would anyone in a similar situation. Had we ordered the parts at full retail, we would have been on here as "paying too much" so what do you do? In the end the customer came to pick up her fully dissasembled machine. we loaded it peice by peice into her early 90's model ford escourt wagon. having not completed the job upon her request. I am curious in the end if she got it fixed by a "good ole boy down in the holler" at a unbeatable price. People fail to understand that we are a professional small buisness. we employee two full time 4 cycle mechanics, one 2 storke mechanic and a manager. We can not stop work for one machine, and serving as many as we do we have to work accordingly. To anyone reading this we would love to have the opportunity to serve you in a freindly, intelligent way. Thank you.
