Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am writing to you because I would like to lodge a complaint against YELP.com.

I am the owner of a small business in Hoboken, NJ.  The name of my business is Hoboken Electrolysis and Skin Care.  I contracted YELP.com for the purpose of advertising my business.  Instead they have a created a situation which if left unresolved may devastate my business.

This company would filter authentic, positive reviews of my business written by my customers and would only post negative reviews, which in most cases were written by their so called, ”Community Managers.” The community Managers are paid employees of Yelp.  When printed the amount of reviews and friends they have on yelp do not print, so enclosed will be copies of both what on line and what prints with my hand written accurate notes of the amount of reviews.

I was deluged with harassing phone calls from these “Community  Managers” at 5:00 in the morning, who demanded immediate random appointments at all hours and days of the week from different states and in fact Jordon from New Hampshire who called on May 4th, 2013 for an appointment that day was not even in New Jersey. And I called her on it.  Since they know I was onto them, many of the phone number have been disconnected, but I will provide you with my Verizon telephone bill and highlight the yelp callers.   If they could not be accommodated, they then would threaten to  post a negative review on the web site.

If you try to contact the president of the company you can’t, the phone number for yelp and the email address for yelp posted on line are disconnected and the emails returned undeliverable.  (enclosed).

“Community Managers” who then start the harassment process all over again.

If you attempt to rectify the situation, you are then extorted for additional random fees, which if you do

not agree to pay, the blackmail scheme goes full circle where you are damned if you do, and damned if

you don’t pay them.

I tried to take down my Yelp account that I set up on my own and they sent an email that I am not allowed to, that the public has the write to rate a business.  The public is my authentic longstanding clients, who are filtered, not their community paid managers.

Finally, they denied me access into my account by changing my password so I could not get into my account. I even hired a computer expert to get to the bottom of the situation and then they tried to extort money from him on my behalf.  and would  not rectify the situation without paying vague, additional fees, that he washed his hands of the matter and stopped pursuing it and returned the fee I paid him for  his assistance.

Even after I sent a United States Certified Return Receipt Letter directly to Jeremy Stoppleman at his New York address, the calls didn't stop instead they started coming in at 5:00 am in the morning and his employees had the nerve to come to my office.

Then I hired an expert to close down my account and Yelp refused to let me close my account with a link about some story that the public has the right to give their opinion.  HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE, MY LONG STANDING CLIENTS WERE WHO WROTE AUTHENTIC REVIEWS WERE FILTERED. BUT THEIR EMPLOYEES WHO COME IN WILL BE POSTED. SUCH A SCAM, SUCH LOW LIFES.

For these reason, I would like to file a complaint against this company whose address is as follows:

YELP.com-

Mr  Jeremy Stoppleman, CEO

104 5th Avenue #4, New York, New York
