Holiday Inn /John Dargben Desk Clerk Manager John or colleagues debited a Bank of America card on or between August 14, 2008 to August 17, 2008 without authorization after checking out of the hotel Ballston At Arlington Virginia
This is a serious problem: The reservation made for June 20, 2008 to September 23, 2008, but an emergency call from home in South Carolina made it necessary to checkout on August 15, 2008. A government employee working at the Pentagon checked in on June 20, 2008 (late afternoon). The guess fees for military/government employees did not set in until two to three weeks later, after persistence comparing other hotel prices in the surrounding areas.
I called the 1-800-holiday inn number and alerted the clerk to please let Holiday Inn at Arlington on Fairfax Drive know of the immediacy, because I was at the Pentagon checking out. The late checkout granted from the telephone clerk, which allowed time to get back to the hotel and leave at approximately 3:00 P.M... After paying $920.00 a week for 7 weeks = $6440.00, the charge after Thursday August 14, became, $7360.00.
Between, the 14th to 17th of August, a debit card, which I deleted all cards was withdrawn from in the amount of $920.00. I have yet to get this resolved. Mr. John Dargbeh was the contact person most of the time. He lied to Bank of America, and the accountant agreed with him that the amount and date is incorrect. I will never use the Holiday chain again until the $920.00 is returned to me.
There is no accountability for these individual's actions. The Intercontinental Chains of Hotels, which is supposed to be the Corporate Office at 800-621-0555, was no better. A claim taken, but my statement was obsolete. I stayed in room 814, the noise from maintenance early in the AM was unexpected, and the noise after 10 P.M. every night was unnecessary. Housekeeping was inconsistent. The refrigerator needed defrosting. The stay was ok, not perfect. I worked during the day, but could never get proper rest.
