Sorry to hear your problem but it was YOUR choice no to pay for a measure. An installer would have come out to your home and measured your whole kitchen then placed it into a CAD drawing which would have been sent to The Home Depot where a kitchen designer would have caught this issue.
And even if the designer missed this issue, the bill of materials would have been sent to the installer, in-turn the installer going back to your home to make sure all items would fit and work before the order was placed. At this point you can still install the cabinets yourself, $100 for a measure is well worth it. Be warned, you don't buy a measure its all on the customer!
