Last Friday the official word from HD was that they wouldn't do anything. I did finally get them to credit me for the install that was supposed to be free. I thought this was the end of it and I was just going to write it off, but then today they pulled something else. We also purchased appliances and they were originally scheduled to be delivered 1/23. We asked that they postpone the delivery since there were issues with the billing. Since we just decided to move on; my wife called this morning to schedule delivery and was told that we needed to contact the store to reschedule.
So she called Riverdal and spoke to someone in appliances. That person told her that the 9th was avaialable so she took it. A short time later she received a call saying they couldn't deliver because the order was cancelled. She told them that we never cancelled the order so they told her that the order was automatically cancelled after 3 days. So if we wanted delivery on the 9th it would now be $200 more because the sale is over. But again we never cancelled these. So I checked my statement and all recent activity, this credit does not show.
Based on their comments this credit should have been posted by 1/28 the latest. I have sent an email to the woman in corporate I was working with requesting she contact me, but this is just rediculous. As of last Friday when we were discussing the discount I should have received this order was still considered active. If only Lowes carried this brand I would just go there, if HD doesn't do the right thing and honor this order that we never cancelled I will go to (((competitor's name redacted))).
sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report. In this case we removed an alleged competitors name

Can't offer you anything concrete. I had just heard through several websites that HD accepted the coupons so I figured I would give it a shot and since teh sales associate said they did I figured I was good. Also, they have a sign in the entry that says something to the effect of, their sales flyer is our sales flyer. So you get the impression from signs and from sales associates taht they will match deals and they will not. The night I was checking out I did see a sheet of barcodes they were scanning for various discounts. One of which was the Lowes 10%, but again it limits the discount to 50 bucks. If you are only buying a couple of things it is fine but I bought around 7k of stuff, so a big difference between discount received and discount expected.
As far as who drives the discount limit. I do believe it is corporate. The issue has been pushed back to the local store from corporate twice now but the woman from corporate confirmed that they limit their discounts. But they can't keep their story straight, sometimes I hear 50 max other times I have heard 200. Either way it isn't the $1000 max I have from Lowes.

I'm not doubting you at all but can you tell me where I can find information on Home Depot honoring Lowes coupon. I'd like to do that but I can't find any information on it. Is it a local store thing or is it a corporate thing?
Apparently it didn't work very well for you but I'd like to take a shot at it anyway.
