I feel it is only right to warn people in the Valley about this scam furniture company. Their claim to be in business for 14 years but their signage is posters in a window.

Their mattresses are not said prices as they claim and after reviewing their "discount" prices are far overpriced what you can get them for in a retail store. Their construction paper business card calls themselves Home Furnishings Direct AKA PMD Furniture Direct in Meridian. Phone number is 208-921-6643 address is 550 N. Meridian rd. Meridian, ID

Listen folks I know that everyone is looking for a great deal but you can get the exact same furniture they are selling for a lot cheaper at any furniture store. Do your homework before buying. Check out the sku number and search it on your smart phone before buying!

Warn your friends and family to stay clear

BRAD LOY runs a very shady operation and it isn't right for people like him to take good business for reputable businesses.

We have had a similar experience:  SAme Address, but they now call themselves Meridian Home Furnishings and the new managers are Kelly & Trent Harris.

The tricks:

Purposefully using bait and switch techniquies in classified ads by advertising low prices showing high-end frniture, but when you get to the store that special is for completely different items.

Claiming they get "Special deals" and obtain their furniture at steep discounts as cast-offs from other furniture stores.  I found out they get their furniture like evryone else: from the manufacturers.

"No refunds, all sales final, no colling off period" clearly stated in every contract.  The federal cooling off period is law. Iit's not something they can legally require.

Claiming All of their Parker House furniture is Leather:  Parker House only makes Dacron wrapped furniture.  We called the factory just to make sure after we were sold a "Leather sectional" at a "Steep discount."  I found the same discount at every furniture website I checked, and all of those stores clearly stated "Imitation leather."

When confronted, the two managers insisted the sectionals were in fact leather and charged us a 20% restocking fee and 10% surcharge just to cancel the purchase for which they hadn't even written up a purchase agreement for.  When faced with the fact that we actually called their supplier, they immediately changed their story and claimed they never said it was leather, but "Leather like."  What, like we weren't paying attention to their story just 5 minutes ago?

We then found two other former customers who did not know that their sectionals were in fact imitation leather.  They had also been lied to.  That's when we contacted the Idaho Attorney General's office, who agreed that their actions were illegal.  When faced with all of this information combined, they refunded all of our money, but only on threat of legal action.
