Home Owners Assistance Hoamitigation charge upfront for modification fees and fail to comply Santa Ana California
Company charge me upfront for modification fees, its illegal per civil code 2945.4, I was not late and not in foreclosure when I hire their assistance. Now i'm in foreclosure and my house is pending action date however I did get the lener to review my file for modification but Home owners assistance did NOT have contact contact or negotiated with the bank all the calls were made by me to the bank and ironically I was the one forwarding the status of my modification to them !!!! (shouldn't it be the other way around) ??? They advice me to stop making my payments as lender will not qualify me if they keep receiving $ for my account.
I'm still under review for modification with the lender but since my home is on foreclosure they might set an action date any min. All they were interested is in setting my home on short sale (they will make even more profit out of it appx 3% of the amount it will be sold to.
I wasted 7 months with Home owners assistance and im requesting refund. This people are lying and misleading they are making profit out of others misfortunes. Somebody should stop them and prevent other people from being taken advantage. I will file a complain with the department of realstate, the federal trade commission, better business bureau and will file small claim ! If anymore ppl are in my situation pls do file complain do request refund we can try to prevent them making more $$ out of us !!! email me I would like to see how many others they ripped of
