Homecomings Financial HomecomingsFinancial LLC Foreclosure proceedings have started after we were told a deed in leiu was being worked out Waterloo Iowa
Our Mortgage was sold to Homecommings Financial approx. 2 years ago. September of 07 we notified homecommings that our expences were rising due to health and home owners insurance and we were trying to sell the house. The house was put up for sale in June 07. We were able to keep our notes current until December. The house did not sell so we notifyed Homecommings that we have no choice but to see if we could do a deed in leiu. They requested information from us that we provided and we were later told that we submitted all of the requested data. "We were good to go" In the meantime collections continued to call us and we continued to explain that a Deed in Leiu was being worked out. We were told after 90 days the house would start into foreclosure proceedings.
To make a long story short We went out of Town temporarily for medical care when Part of Homecommings Chaged the locks on our doors and weatherized it several days before the 90 day limit. We have since decided that we will not return. This all happened while we were waiting for the "Deed in Leiu" to go through.
We are presantly trying to sell the house on a Short term sale but have no answers yet about the deed in lieu. We've been told our account is frozen until the deed in leiu is cleared up. This has been going on for several months. Why does it take this long to do a deed in leiu? And why is negative reports going to collections when the account is frozen? We've asked for things in writting when these statements are made but we're told they can't give anything to us in writting.
