ON AUGUST 2007, WE BOUGHT OUR HOME. OUR FIRST PAYMENT TO THE ORIGINAL LENDER WAS DUE IN OUR OCTOBER, AND WE MADE PAYMENT. TO OUR SURPRISE, SOMETIME SOON AFTER, THE LOAN WAS TRANSFERED TO HOMECOMINGS FINANCIAL. WE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE FORMER LEANDING COMPANY, NOTIFYING US THAT A NEW COMPANY WOULD SEND US INFORMATION WHICH WOULD INCLUDE PAYMENT VOUCHER AND ACCOUNT NUMBERS. FOR FOUR WEEKS, WE TRIED UNSUCCESSFULLY TO CONTACT THE NEW LOAN SERVICER-HOMECOMINGS FINANCIAL, TO NO AVAIL. WHEN WE FINALLY REACHED A LIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, WE WERE TOLD THAT THE REASON WE DIDN'T RECEIVE A VOUCHER WAS BECAUSE WE SET UP AN ONLINE PAYMENT, WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY A LIE, SINCE WE HAD NEVER EVEN SPOKENT TO THEM OR SET UP PAYMENT. UNKNOWINGLY, WE WERE GIVEN AN INCORRECT LOAN NUMBER AND SUBMITTED THE PAYMENT TO THEM, WHICH WAS LATER RECORDED AS LATE WITH ACCRUED FEES AND LATE PAYMENT REPORTING TO THE CONSUMER CREDIT BUREAU. FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS, I'VE HAD A RECORD OF IMPECCABLE PAYMENT HISTORY, SO THIS WAS UNBELIEVEABLE TO ME. WE MOVED QUICKLY TO ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE SITUATION AND SENT DOUBLE PAYMENTS TO THEM AND THEY STILL DID NOT RECORD PAYMENT ON TIME AND ALSO ASSESSED LATE FEES TO THAT PAYMENT (ALMOST 2OO EXTRA FROM A $459 PAYMENT AMOUNT). BECAUSE OF THE CHALLENGES WITH THIS COMPANY, WE ATTEMPTED TO REFINANCE ONLY 2 MONTHS AFTER TRANSFERRING TO THEM, AND ARE FINDING OURSELVES UNABLE TO DO SO, BECAUSE OF LATE PAYMENTS RECORDED BY THEM TO THE BUREAU, INSUFFICIENT INFORMATION PROVIDED TO THE REFINANCING LENDERS AS THEY REFUSED TO RELEASE PAYMENT HISTORY (EVEN THOUGH $35 WAS PAID BY THE LOAN OFFICER TO RELEASE THE INFORMATION), AND NOW WE ARE STUCK WITH THEM. WE SENT A PAYMENT ON MONDAY AND ARE WORRIED, THAT AS THEY HAVE NOT WITHDRAWN THE PAYMENT, THAT THEY WILL HOLD ON TO IT, AS THEY HAVE DONE IN THE PAST, TO MAKE IT LATE, SO THAT WE CONTINUE TO BE IN A POSITION NOT TO MOVE AWAY FROM THIS LOAN). WE WOULD LOVE TO JOIN THE CLASS ACTION SUIT. I HOPE THAT THIS ADDS TO ALL THE REPORTING THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN POSTED. WE CAN TAKE THESE LETTERS AND LET ATTORNEY GENERAL, BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND ALL THOSE WHO CAN ASSIST US TO STOP THIS COMPANY FROM HARMING ANY MORE CONSUMERS.

I can will get the late payments removed i have DONE 12 CASES THIS YEAR FOR THE SAME REASON AS YOURS. I THINK I AM LUCKY BUY ALL 12 HAVE GOT ALL THERE POINTS BACK AND REFINANCED CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.
