KATHLEEN, ACORN IS,ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS FOR REFORM NOW. THEIR PRIORITY IS HELP PEOPLE WITH ISSUES LIKE OURS, POINT US IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND EVEN STAND UP WITH US. THEY HAVE LOTS OF PROGRAMS, THE MAIN ONE IS THE HOUSING ISSUES, AND HOW MOORTGAGE COMPANIES LIKE HOMECOMINGS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF US. THEY WANT TO PUT A STOP TO THIS ABUSE, THAT IS WHAT IT IS. THEY DO NOT ANSWER PHONES AND IF THEY DO THE TRANSFERR YOU TO THE VOICE MAIL, THEY DO NOT CALL BACK, THEY DO NOT SEND PAYMENTSLIPS, WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT OUR ACCOUNT NUMBER WAS, SO EVEN IF WE WANTED TO GO AHEAD AND SEND IN THE PAYMENT WE COULDN'T. WELL UNLESS WE WANTED TO RISK IT AND IT END UP ON SOMEONE ELSES ACCOUNT. I REALLY HOPE THAT THIS INF REALLY HELPS YOU! IT JUST MAKES ME SO MAD THHAT COMPANIES CAN DO THIS AND GET AWAY WITH IT! I AM HOPING THAT BY THE TIME I AM DONE HOMECOMINGS WILL NO LONGER EXIST, ALONG WITH GMAC, SINCE THEY ARE THE BOSSES OF HOMECOMINGS. HOPE THIS HELPS!! YOU KNOW HOW TO GET IN TOOUCH IF YOU WANT OR NEED TO!

Melanie, Thank you for your concern. Sorry to hear that you are in the same situation as us.I wish I had some advice for you.I have never been in this situation before and I am at a lost for words and scared! We finally got a letter from the laywer who purchased our home in the auction. We must come up with $25,000 to redeem our home, we cant afford that. My husband is disabled and I am the sole income, besides his small SSI check each month, we can't possibly come up with that kind of money and fear the worst. We have to redeem by june, theres just know possible way. What is this acorn you were talking about? Time is running out and I don't want to be left out on there streets with 2 children at home to worry about. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you again for your response, there truly are people in the world that care and you are one of them, Thank you. I've never responded to this before, I hope I did it right and that you get this. God Bless you. Kathleen

KATHLEEN, MY HUSBAND AND I ALSO GOT THE CASH FOR KEYS. WE TOO CALLED AND CALLED AND CALLED BUT, NEVER COULD GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE, AND OF COURSE TOOK OUR HOME. WE HAVE NEVER EVEN BEEN TO COURT YET FOR THE FORECLOSURE. I DO NOT KNOWW IF YOUR STATE HAS THE PROGRAM CALLED " ACORN" OR NOT BUT, THAT IS WHO I GOT IN TOUCH WITH, SO FAR THEY SAID WE HAVE A CASE AGAINST THEM. WE DON'T EVEN HAVE A CONTRACT WITH HOMECOMINGS, SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW OR WHEN THEY CAME INTO THE PICTURE. WE HAVE ONLY RECIEVED 1 PAYMENT SLIP FROM THEM,BUT THE MONTH BEFORE IT WAS FROM SOME OTHER MORTGAGE COMPANY, WE WERE QUITE CONFUSED AND WE CALLED BUT GOT NOWHERE, JUST OUT OF A BEAUTIFUL HOME. JUST THOUGHT YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONNE, AND THERE ARE ALOT OF US WHO WANT TO GO AFTER HOMECOMINGS . LET ME KNOW HOW THIINGS GO FOR YOU AND I SHALL KEEP YOU INFORMED OF HOW THINGS GO WITH US, MAYBE WE CAN JOIN FORCES AND RUN HOMECOMINGS OUT OF BUISNESS. MELLIE
