Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Homeq is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Worse than my cell phone company even which says a lot. My husband was raised in the house we live in and has owned it himself over 20 years. This property has had numerous home equity lines against it and never once has he lost it even when he filed for bankruptcy in 2002. In 2006 we took out a loan with Home123 and made our payments just fine the rate was fixed never late no problems. Last year it was sold to Homeq. Now all of a sudden we are in foreclosure and they are demanding $6000 in order to keep our home. It all started about six months ago when I sent a payment off and they said it was to the wrong address (which was the mailing address on my statement) and returned it to me. I then sent it out and by the time they received it the second time in Ca it was considered late and they tacked on a late fee. Then I decided to make all payments on the phone. Well after a couple of months of doing this and the payment statements reflecting my payments it seemed to be cleared up. Then all of a sudden a couple weeks ago someone shows up at my door with foreclosure papers from the county. I freak out, call them and we are not five months behind. My telephone payments were not going

through is their excuse and my statements were not being sent to my house I was just calling in and making the payments. We received not one phone call at home, our cell phones, at work or any letters saying we were being foreclosed on. And other than the person from the county have not received foreclosure papers and that was almost three weeks ago. Well when I called them they let me know I was five months behind and I said fine I will pay it all right now...Luckily I had just gotten my income tax refund, but not I could not pay it without paying almost three thousand in attorney fees...I explained I was not notified or anything and the lady said it was not her problem she shows letters being mailed. Now there is no one to help me I cannot afford an

attorney and all the counseling places who will help stop foreclosure are going to help if I pay them.....How can I afford all of this? If you are with Homeq and your credit is not tainted by divorce or bankruptcy like ours is please please take head and find a new company. And if anyone knows a place that will help me without putting their hands in my pockets first please let me know!

Update............Homeq Sucks! ..................

Just an update after several failed attempts and turning in requested information more than 5 times (they claimed they never received even though I had fax confirmation sheets) they considered my modification and denied it. Then one day my husbands ex wife called to say his house was up for Sherriff sale. I notified the court and coincidentally the hearing which was scheduled for 9-19-08 had been decided and awarded to the plaintiff on 9-5-08 due to us not "answering" the summons we did not receive. I called the court they said a law firm representing HomeQ delivered it to me personally on 7-30 and gave me their number. When I called them they told me they served my husband personally on 8-5. When he got on the phone and contested and demanded a signature card they told him they could not offer legal advice and to seek the help of an attorney. So now our house is awaiting being scheduled for Sherriff sale and there's nothing we can do about it. But a lot of people are offering modification services insisting they can get us modified. My husband has lived here for 22 years and bought this house when he was only 19 but there is no way to save it now without 5000 dollars down and 1500 a month payments to HomeQ. This seems unfair, I have contacted several attorneys who may be willing to help with a class action. If you are interested in adding your name to our list and sharing your story please visit www.stophomeq.bravehost.com to see our page. Good luck! And may those predatory b@#$%^ds rot in hell!!!!

OK... so your story has no truth to it what so ever.... its like swiss cheese! HomEq just doesnt go into FC bc its fun and HomEq enjoys it! ITS EXPENSIVE AND THIS COMPANY WOULD LIKE TO AVOID IT AT ALL COST. BUT DON'T YOU THINK WHEN ALL THAT MONEY WAS STILL SITTING IN YOUR BANK THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG? So why dont you try to tell the whole story before you defile a company for your own mistakes. Good luck making better decisions on the next house. Signed, Not the shoulder to cry on!

That Sounds Odd...

#8Consumer Suggestion

Sun, March 09, 2008

You had five months worth of mortgage payments sitting in your bank account and it came as a surprise to you that you were being foreclosed on? Why did you need your income taxes to pay? If your payments were not going through then your money should still be in your account right? My suggestion is: open your account statements (from your bank & HomEq).
