Homes Alive Pet Centre Homes Alive Pet Depo SICK ANIMALS, rabbits birds mice with lice and mites. Dead with in weeks, store wouldn't back sale lethbridge, Alberta

We bought a white budgie from this store only a few weeks ago and he was missing a few feathers but didn't think much of it, as several of the birds there all had this. The store said they were just molting. With in a week he was scratching so bad he had almost lost half his feathers. It was getting worse so we called the pet store for advise and they said to bring him in. Some guy sales person think (Cris) told us to buy this medications and went and got it. It continued to get worse so we took him to the vets and they said he was very ill with worms mites and some other bird infection. I wish we would of just taken him to the vets the first time over the pet store but they ensured us he would be fine. He died because of us taking advise from this store and because they sold us a sick bird to start with. Our children have cried over the loss of there pet, and this little bird has cost us hundreds of collars because of the stores neglect.
Then they blamed his death on us, said it must of been from poor housing and feed. We bought our cage from them and food. We did everything that they suggested but to have them accuse us!!. They were rude and stuck up like they where the best and how could they have sold a sick animal.
To read that they have been fined for selling sick animals pisses us off, as we were made to believe this was a family owned business with good morals, but we found out the truth. Why can't they SPCA shut this store down fully from selling animals not just dogs and cats. It's horrible that this store is doing to make money.
I know of others now that have suffered the loss of an animal because of this pet store. Our friend just lost there dog from eating recalled dog treats. Treats the store is selling at discounts buy one get two free!! Her dog got diarhea so bad from the food her puppy died. They are playing vet/God and trying to take business away from vet clinics to get you to buy there products. I feel stupid to have fallen into this horrible businesses sales pitch!!
If you want a healthy animal DO NOT BUY IT FROM HOMES ALIVE!! They have good sales people but the truth is out, DON'T support Mills, abuse or neglect no matter where it comes from.
