Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Signed up with homes.com after a great salespitch at a Statewide Realtor Conference.  They promised me 130 leads a month for their basic 6 month contract of $99 per month.  Sounded amazing and I signed up.  Their contract they sent me a few days later is long and far less specific about what they will deliver since they are apparently NOT in the business of providing leads.  I have now chatted with their sales people at several trade shows, and it is "leads leads leads", while the follow up contract is vague about exactly what you sign up for. In short, homes.com will advertise you on their website, and promise nothing more.  On the phone and in person, it is about helping you make money and gettting you buyers, but their contract does not state any of that.

So, I signed up, given that it is a large national organization that seems to be successful and legitimate.  Even if I got only 10 "good" leads, I would have been happy enough.  Instead, in the 1st 2 months I received 3 "leads" in the first few days, none of whom lived in the United States, and were really trying to get me to send them money.  and then, nothing.  nothing for months.  So I called them and they came clean and said we don't promise leads.  BUT, not even ONE?

So I got annoyed since I was paying what I considered quite a bit, and complained.  That lead to nothing.  So I cancelled since I consider them in breach of contract.  They quickly sent the following months I didn't pay to a collection agency, with all sorts of late fees and extra fees, and more fees.  They don't care about providing a service.  They know they are big and can bully any Realtor, and aren't concerned at all about making sure that clients are happy if they are not.

Once I complained about not getting any leads, the first response was:"well, we never promised you any leads, didn't you read the contract?".  So if you are signing up to get names of buyers, and maybe sellers, please do so at your own peril.  There is a reason they sign you up for 6 months minimum, because if it was month to month, I bet most people would cancel by month 3.
