We have been providing quality service for over 25 years, the largest fabric mill in the USA shut its doors leaving us to deal with a number of customers that could not get their products. All related customers will or have received product or been refunded depending on their particular situation. This customer received a full refund.

It had become our daily ritual to fax McCracken (correct name Steven Mark McCracken) a request for our money along with other pleas for justice. Some faxes would tell him about how we came to order from him, how disappointed we were with him, and what a shame that a business that could have been successful was mismanaged to this degree. After filing reports with the Better Business Bureau; the Federal Trade Commission; the Virginia Consumer Affairs; Richmond Virginia television, radio and newspapers and; Ripoff Report, we received a check in the mail from Homespun Home Fashions LLC, Card Processing Account. And it was not honored by the issuing bank--Bank of America. Then we threatened to go to the state police and he sent a fax to us--his first form of communication other than an automated voice response phone message. His fax told me to go to the police and that my relentless pursuit of him was "scary" to him and his employees. So I contacted Virginia Sate Police who told me that I could file a report with the state of Maryland, which I did last week. They promptly took a report and followed up with McCracken, who left a message for Trooper Johns that he was refunding our money. A cashiers check arrived yesterday via Fed Ex in the complete amount AND the check was honored by the bank from which it was issued--Bank of America. We have our money and there is hope that you can get yours back too. Fax McCracken every day; phone his telephones every day and leave messages. Let him know that anything less than your complete refund is unacceptable---do you really want the product from him now anyway? Report him to any agency you can think of and file charges with your state police. Maryland State Trooper Johns from the Prince Frederick, Maryland barracks said that other departments may contact her for the details of the police report. The file case number is CIR0883000490 and the barracks phone number is 410-535-1400. With effort from all of those with complaints, we can get Homespun/McCracken to either clean up his act or get out of the business. Good luck!

Finally, a check in the mail! But Bank of America will not honor the check drawn on Homespun Home Fashion's account. We have reported Mark McCracken and Homespun Home Fashions to Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, Virginia Consumer affairs, local Richmond newspapers and television stations, and now the Virginia State Police. Every day Homespun's web site is on the internet, someone is being RIPPED-OFF!!

The Petersburg address is no longer valid. He closed up shop about 2 weeks ago, (rent to high), and moved operation to his home in Moseley, Va and part to sister Patty's home. This is a 3 person operation. He has to buy covers and furntiure from someone else. If he doesn't pay them, you do not get your products. Good luck, but I'm afraid your money is gone. He has been "robbing Peter to pay Paul" for a long time. He could have had a great business after This End Up went bankrupt, but he got greedy.
