Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

When my family moved into a house we received a notice that the home was going into foreclosure. We were very upset and called immediately.  The office manager (there daughter) told us to continue to pay them rent but not to talk to anyone at the bank that the "obama law" would protect us and we would not have to move.  After investigating we found out that the home was being foreclosed on prior to Hometenders even placing us into the property.  These people never told us anything  and they asked us to buy more items for the home knowing that we were in a home where we would have to move out.  They are mis using the "Obama Law" and claim that they have the right to collect rent.

The bank informed us otherwise and told us the house no longer belonged to the owner and it was illegal to collect rent. Every conversation with them only left us threatened with a 5 day notice to vacate and the lose of our security deposit.

After searching John Bezik we found a complaint with the AZ Board of Real Esate against him.  Just like the other complaint filed here says, do yourself a favor and look at the courts and all the people they file claims against.  Can't understand a realtor working with them or a person in thier right mind placing thier home in thier care.  Guess it makes sense they knew they were losing the house anyway.  Doesn't make it right!  Hopefully, someone will read this before they make a huge mistake.  Just glad we are safely out of there hands and home.

We have proof that we are clients of the Combs Law Group, where is their's? These people writing this egregious, vetuperatous information are in for a rude awaking. You cannot get away with writing lies, untruths and slandering people without repercussions. FYI There is no such person as Karen Dobbs. Yes and we too are glad they are out of program. These people are dangerous!!! Hope other businesses never have to cross their paths. Again we have proof. The FTC is already involved.

After contacting Combs Law Group on Camelback and 19th Street, I spoke with a partner in the firm who clearly stated , "WE ARE NOT THE REPRESENTING ATTORNEYS FOR HOMETENDERS OF AMERICA! We have never been retained by anyone for HomeTenders or companies associated thereof. Combs Law Group has now received 4 phone calls indicating to legal sources that Combs Law Group prepared their contracts/ handled their legal work etc...Combs Law Group made it clear that they are not their attorneys, or, Statutory Agent thereof. In Fact, they made it clear that they would not represent their company for falsifying information. HomeTenders is presently under class action suits filed by several individuals and I was told that Combs Law Group has never prepared any documents having to do with this company.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HOMETENDERS!

This was an unfortunate problem and we felt bad for the Hometender that was put in this situation. When we received the home in our program we were assured by the listing Realtor that there was an offer on the table and that the foreclosure date was to be moved. We took her on her word (we had no reason not to as this is a common practice.) We even put thousands of dollars of our own money into the property to make it show ready as the owner was not going to sink another dime into it. We put these folks in the property expecting them to be able to be in the home until the short sale either went through or fell through. This unfortunately did not happen. The home foreclosed within a two month period. We were duped into believing that the date would be moved. We would not have sunk this much money into a property if we thought it would not be in the program for a while. Our policy is also one of: if the home sells or is taken out of the program within a two month period of the hometender moving in, we pay for their move to another one of our homes. These folks declined.

Since the Obama law had just gone into effect, we were not clear on the rules pertaining to it. We went to the Combs Law Group in Phoenix who were experts in interpreting this new law. They assured us that if the hometender wanted to stay in the property, they could for a period of three months. We again told the hometender this and they opted out of our program. We never intentionally wanted to do anything illegal and we received advise from our attorney that we deamed as true.

We did feel very bad for these people and wanted to help but they had a sour taste in their mouth so there was no patching this relationship. We have since talked to them about this posting and they admitted that at the time they were "hot" and didn't have all the facts. They would have removed it had this sight given that option. We pride ourselves on our integrity and working both with the Realtor and Homeowner as well as the Hometender. It is unfortunate that this took place.
