I Received a 7-day get rid of my dog or be evicted in 60 days notice from their attorney.  An incident occurred on Monday, March 11, 2013 where my dog Jenna allegedly bit the meter reader that goes through the park once a month.  The person had cut through the yard behind me after being told by the tenant 3 times not to do so because she had dogs too.  I have lived in the park for 9 years and have had Jenna my dog for 5 years and she has never jumped the fence in the past and has never bit anyone.  She is a kind and friendly dog and residents walking by my house always stop to pet her all the time.  At that point the meter reader asked me for $50.   I advised her I didnt have the funds right now but if she brought me back a doctors on Friday I would reimburse her. She then said OK, then give me $20.   We ended up at the park managers office which a HUGE mistake.  Animal control was called my dog was quarentined for 10 days and deemed not violent, it was a bite the size of a pen head which was received probably because my dog was provoked and kicked from behind.  The park manager escalated it to the regional manager which is when I received the eviction notice and then all hell broke loose.  They through numerous violations at me.  When we moved to the park in March 2004 we had a dog named Rocky.  He passed away November of 2005.  I know we advised the park manager that Rocky had passed on.  Within two weeks we adopted another dog named Oliver.  At that time we advised the park manager that we had adopted a new dog and showed the current manager all of  if his paperwork that he was up-to-date on shots.  She said she would update our files with the new info.  I was completely caught off guard when they advised me that they had no record of Oliver on the books or Jenna.  I knew the rules of the park regarding having a pet and followed them.  This is when I received a letter from the attorney stating that I violated so many park rules over the years that it was envitalbe that I would be evicted if I didn't get rid of the dog.  I told him that I'm being held accountable for the incompetency of the employees of Hometown America and he said "more or less, yes".
We adopted Jenna our 2nd dog for medical reasons for my husband who you know passed away of COPD in October 2010.  His doctor at the time said he needed to build up his lung capacity and walking a dog would help.  The comment Mindy Jackson/Regional Mgr said to me the first time we talked about us getting Jenna for my husbands rehab and since he died in 2010 she was no longer needed was the cruelest thing anybody has ever said to me, what a disgrace coming from a woman at her level in a company.  I provided 7 tenant letters stating Jenna is not vicous, animal control stated she is not vicous, I offered to build a taller fence, keep Jenna in the house and not interact with other tenants that loved her so much, obtain a clinical behavioral evaluation  on her, but nothing worked.  I had to find my little girl another home.
I then found out that another dog got loose a year a go and bit a tenant, the park manager was called and animal control was called.  The dog was quarentined for 10 days and was able to stay in the park.  Conveniently the park manager doesn't remember the incident even though she went to the scene confirmed by both tenants involved.  I'm being told by the regional manager that this is all hear say on my part and no investigation was done.  I think the reason is because they were removing an older mobile home and knocked down the fence and the dog got loose.  They were liable and now can't remember ANYTHING and of course nothing is in the files.  I did not pursue this further because I have a heart and didn't want them removing the dog a year later from the family that loves her so much.
I have been receiving emails from the regional manager telling me she knows how hard this has been on me and she is very sorry it turned out this way.  Here are the last comments I sent her yesterday...
"You have no idea what Ive been through and what this situation has done to me physically and mentally.  Your apology means nothing to me and others in the parkit only makes you feel better about yourself and your cold hearted decision regarding this matter.  You have to live with what you are and your lack of compassion for others.  This will be the last interaction I have with you until Im written up for eviction for not pulling weeds in my front yard!!!!  Hometown America and its employees are a joke".
