I went to Hooters with my husband the other night because the wings are great and the girls are always up-beat and fun. When we showed up we were attended by a very rude waitress by the name of Lorinda. She didn't take our drink orders, but someone else did and must have gave them to her, she took 5 min to bring me a glass of water, 10 min later she brought my husband his beer.

We had to ask her to take our order, once we did she responded "Now?" We placed our order and had to wait 30 min or more before we were served, (we had only ordered wings and an appetizer). Now I can understand if they had been busy, but they only had a few people there and we were the only ones waiting to be served.

Once we were served my appetizer, the buffalo strips, were ice cold. I told the waitress and she simply picked them up and didn't apologize or even offer me new ones. I spoke to the manager, yet the waitress continued to be rude to us and called over one of the other waitresses to complain about us while sitting at the table next to us!

When my husband finished his beer she walked by him a minimum of 2 times and didn't even glance at us. He waited 10 min for her to notice, when she didn't, I mentioned loudly that he would like a beer if someone could get it for us. The whole time she was gossiping with her co-workers right behind us.

About 10 min later she came by and asked if he wanted a new beer, by this time I was furious! I told her we were ready to leave and wanted the check. She brought the check and turned right around and left to go gossip again.

Of all the times we saw her she was walking by us with her eyes straight ahead and didn't even ask if we needed anything. The last straw was when we asked for the check, a man came in and ordered wings and a beer, he had his beer and wings by the time we paid our bill. I was very upset that we were treated so rude and that nothing changed after we had spoken to the manager.

Linda, Hooters treatment of you is not unique to you. I haven't posted my complaint yet because it is lengthy and very involved though I have already posted elsewhere, but I've learned plenty about Hooters. First, they are very arrogant and my report when I file it will back it up. Second, they are very inconsistent in enforcing their own rules and policies. It happened in my situation and when I did further research I also discovered this is typical of Hooters. Third, they have a confidentiality policy where the accused is told virtually nothing while those not in the need to know, other managers, waitresses, etc. are told everything. I won my war with them because those three things came back to haunt them, but I will post as I know other customers won't be so fortunate. My advice is to avoid all Hooters. They were the first to come up with the sports bar theme type restaurant but it has gone to their heads. Others have since come around such as Winghouse and in my area at least, Dogwater, that blow them out of the water. Paul
