Ordered 2 embroidered dog collars online. Carefully answered every question and was extra careful when measuring my dogs necks so that I ordered the correct sized collar.

A statement listed online "unless otherwise specified, lettering will be centered on collar" to me was not an indication that I needed to provide the exact measurement in the comments box, although when I spoke with someone at the company, they failed to agree.

Therefore, I received $50 worth of useless dog collars since when I adjusted the collar, most of the identifying information was covered.

I explained that for a person who most likely only orders a personalized collar once for a dog, they need to specify "it is important to provide the exact neck measurements in the comments box" so that the consumer gives the appropriate information and gets a product that they can use.

In any event, I was offered new collars @ 40% off, but to me, that just added insult to injury. I will throw my collars away and will never utilize the services of Hot Dog Collars again.

The specific detail regarding placement of text on the collar is made clear on the product page in BOLD RED font. Also, our customer service reps always cover this topic when taking orders via the phone. The collars were made specifically for your order and therefore cannot be returned or exchanged. We donate returned or exchanged collars, but would you want a collar with your phone number on it donated to a shelter, only to be handed out to a stranger at a later date? We offered you replacement collars at our cost (i.e. we wouldnt make any $$ off them), but you refused. So, we're not sure there is anything else we can do. We currently have an outstanding rating on Bizrate, 5 stars (out of 5) on NexTag, and 4.5 stars (out of 5) on Google Checkout. These ratings were achieved through exemplary customer service and attention to detail. However, some customers just cannot be satisfied regardless of our efforts
