This website advertises that it provides information to find local escorts. They display pictures and descriptions, but you have to pay to get the phone numbers display.

I had two options $24.95/month auto renew, or $69.95 for 365days no auto renew. I chose $69.95, big mistake - it was no bargain!

I entered my zipcode to locate all the escorts close to me. I called 10 numbers, and everyone was disconnected or the wrong person.

I email CCbill.com which was the billing company my credit card charge went through. They told me they aren't responsible. I have emailed HotLocalEscorts.com and await response. I shall report this to my credit card company in the morning which will be less then 10 hours from the purchase.

** I will update you with the results of my battle :( ***

I read the 'terms of agreement' after the problem, it had a huge legal language paragraph that basically says "we will take your money - but we promise nothing. we do not claim that our website will provide you with any true info, if you discover that 100% of our website information you paid for is totally false, inaccurate, or just plain bullcrap - you can't get a refund so nah nah na na nah!"

That doesn't seem right? Shouldn't their be laws? Like the lemon law for cars - it wouldn't matter if in fine print the contract said if the car is a lemon too bad? Or what if in the find print it says you will now be our slave ( just because they put something in their terms doesn't mean it has more power then consumer LAWS right?)

Well they put it like this:

"11. Disclaimer of Warranty.

YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT USE OF THE SITE OR ANY OF THE MATERIALS CONTAINED THEREIN IS AT YOUR OWN AND SOLE RISK. THE SITE AND ALL MATERIALS CONTAINED THEREIN ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SITE MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES THAT THE SITE OR ANY MATERIALS CONTAINED THEREIN WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR FREE; NOR DOES THE SITE MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES AS TO THE QUALITY, SUITABILITY, TRUTH, ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE SITE OR ANY OF THE MATERIALS CONTAINED THEREIN. YOU ALSO UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT ANY MATERIAL AND/OR DATA DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SITE OR ANY OF THE MATERIALS CONTAINED THEREIN IS DONE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK AND THAT YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OF SUCH MATERIAL AND/OR DATA. SITE MAKES NO WARRANTY REGARDING ANY GOODS OR SERVICES PURCHASED OR OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE OR ANY TRANSACTION ENTERED INTO THROUGH THE SITE AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY USE OF CONFIDENTIAL OR PRIVATE INFORMATION BY SELLERS OR THIRD PARTIES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU."

It would seem to me that although a contract was signed, and false avertisement was displayed the FBI would investigate. Darl

Not than I do that, but just searching the internet after your complaint, that's what I came up with. Anyone who has to pay to get a date is pretty much a loser anyway, and has nowhere else to spend his money, so quit complaining... you probably got excited and took care of yourself manually while looking at the pics anyway. So, really, you didn't pay for nothing! It would be cheaper to buy a rubber doll in the future. Doesn't eat much, doesn't talk too much, will do anything you want. Just be careful when you roll over and bite her on neck in the morning that she doesn't fart and fly out the window....

A contract can't require something illegal. However this is different from you agreeing to the terms on here. You agreed that the information might not be correct. Unless the law says a company MUST ensure the information in this type of business is correct regardless of contract, then there is nothing that can be done. In this type of industry the information would be provided by the escort to the website. You agreed to buy information furnished to them by a third party, not first-hand information gathered by the website. Unless they told you they verified it, there's nothing you can do since in that case you did NOT buy verified information, only second-hand information.

Have you contacted your cc company?

Have you contacted your cc company? If you pay with a cc & are not supplied with what you paid for then you can ask for a charge back from your cc company.I used to work for an escort service and there were many times when customers were not satisfied with what they (got)! Anyway I was told to never agree to give the customer their money back on a cc transaction. This was because in this particular industry they hope you will be too embarasssed to call your cc company for a "charge back".You will most likely get your money back using this info. The cc company will then ask for proof from the company that you received "goods or services" from them,if they can't prove this;then the cc company will not pay the company & will credit back your account.Hope this helpful for either now or in the future!
