Hotwire is advertising a one-day sale today, March 30, 2012.  It is a lie!!!  There's no additional "up to 40%" or "up to 50%" off!!! There's no "One Day Sale".   It's a Rip-Off!!!!!

I made a hotel reservation for one night using Hotwire's "blind" (i.e., you don't see the hotel name) service based on their ad on AOL and on their website that today is a special HOTWIRE ONE-DAY SALE!!!  I was given a hotel room at a total cost of $73.25.

Turns out the hotel web site had the same room for the same date for a total of $77.12.

That's about a $4 and 12 cent savings.  Hardly anything special qualifying as a special "One-Day Sale"!!

Customer Service only responds by saying "Hotwire doesn't give refunds".  They could care less that their "Hotwire One Day Sale" is a total false advertisement.  After I spoke to Customer Service (Pat - Badge #1807 and Supervisor Amanda - Badge #1543) I spoke to Hotwire's Customer Care also, after being referred there by the office of the Vice President of Operations, Pierre Etienne Chartier.  Same result. I'm waiting to hear back from Amy, the Director of Customer Care, but I have already been told by Representative Jenna Hermann that Amy will tell me the same thing.
