I purchased airline tickets on Hotline .com which promises discount airline tickets. I found that the company only gives flight times after the ticket is purchased. I purchased two round trip tickets on Northwest Airlines from Hotline for flight #881/1599 from Tampa to Kansas City.

The return flight I received was Flight #800/878 at 6:30 AM. I called Hotline to see if I could change the return flight time and they said they would not. I replied by telling Britt (Customer Service Rep) Employee #A47 that if I was notified that the flight time was so early I would have never purchased the tickets. Britt said the company would not change the ticket and would not refund the purchase price.

A later flight would only have cost $3.00 more per ticket. This does not seem like a very big discount for having to take such an early flight. This would mean my wife and I would have to leave our family's home at 4:30 AM to get to the Airport at 5:30 for a 6:30 flight. The savings of $6.00 is not a discount it is disgrace.

I feel the company dupes customers into thinking they are getting a good deal when they being greatly misleading us with rediculous flight times for little or no discount.

I told Britt #A47 the customer service rep that I feel that I was deceived, and that I would NEVER do business with Hotline.com ever again. I wll now have to try to deal with Northwest Arilines themselves to try and get this situation resolved.

This is another example of someone not reading the legal information on the website of an online travel agency (no insult intended, they bury the legal stuff in the website). www.hotwire.com and www.priceline.com do pretty much the same thing, sell low-priced airline tickets (even if it is only $3 lower) without telling you the flight times before purchase. And after purchase the tickets are absolutely non-refundable and non-changeable. Not only that, but their discounted prices (in my experience) are not much lower, if any lower, than the airline's published airfare. I would highly recommend either checking another travel site such as Expedia (my personal fav) or Orbitz (don't trust the multiple airlines fares there), as they give a good selection of different airlines flights and prices. Both of those sites do charge a service fee of about $5 - $10 per ticket (they hide it pretty well now), so if you find good flight times at a good price, then hop over to www.Cheaptickets.com and see if you can get the same flights as they don't charge a $5 - $10 service fee for flights.
