I ordered my dress in January and it's now May and I still have not received my dress. The wedding is in two weeks! They refuse to return any of my emails, voicemails or messages. The manager, Joan, will not respond to anything. Even when you finally get through to someone and speak to them, they are nonchalant about the situation and actually told me to "buy some fabric and make the dress myself". This is ridiculous! They claimed they shipped it in April but UPS verified that they never picked up this package from them. It's sitting in their shipping area somewhere. I then got an automated email saying that shipment of my dress has been re-scheduled but UPS is saying they still haven't been called to pick it up. You can call the 1-800 number all day every day and you will NEVER get through to an actual person. The Glen Ellyn store is their home base and they have caller id so if you call enough times they will recognize your number and send you to voicemail. They say they have nothing to do with the website but I spoke to the other three store locations and they all first said that each store is individually owned but then retracted that and admitted that there is one owner, a Mrs. Bee but that she won't respond to customers, especailly if the customer has a complaint. And if you notice when you call their system, it's all the same people in the directory. I finally was able to get transfered to shipping and got a girl who said she would "look into it" and once again "call me back". I really hope that she will.

They are in the wedding business. What other business is so centered on deadlines? They should know how important weddings are and how important it is to get things there on time. Their hold message states that they pride themselves on their exemplory customer service and that is a joke! They have NO customer service. They just don't care. And that is a serious disappointment. What a waste of $200 and I'm willing to bet I won't get a dime of that back without a massive hassle as well.

Be ware! Go to any other local bridal store. Do not order from House of Brides or you won't get your item. Good luck!
