H&R Block Charged for tax preparation even though I prepared my own taxes Twinsburg Ohio
I prepared my federal taxes with the intent on saving money even though I was getting the Rapid Refund. I went to HR Block and was told that I would get an instant refund. I was charged for the instant RAL but I did not receive the check. I was told that they had some sort of computer error. I was then charged 98.00 for tax preparation even though all of my paperwork states that I prepared them myself.
When I questioned this charge they told me that they had to charge the fee because I was getting the loan. However, another tax preparer heard the conversation and told the preparer working with me that he should not have charged me that. However, it was too late they had already clicked the button. I did receive my loan the next day and was told that they would refund the 98.00 plus 19.00 for the instant loan. I have yet to receive the money. I have contacted customer support 4 times and I have been leaving messages for a week with the district manager and he will not return my calls.
